Stolen 'Breaking Bad' Script Might Mean MAJOR Spoilers for Fans

Breaking BadOkay, where are my fellow Breaking Bad fans? Gather 'round, because I've got some unpleasant news to share. You know how there are only eight episodes left before the series finale, right? Well, the AMC crew has been hard at work filming the fifth and final season, and apparently back in December, someone stole a script from Bryan Cranston's car.

Dude. Someone stole from Heisenberg. But the worst part is, the script was for one of the upcoming episodes, and it hasn't been recovered. It's just ... OUT THERE somewhere.

You know what this means, right? It means we are all gonna get spoiled Downton Abbey-style when this script hits the Internet, and I am SO PISSED OFF ABOUT THE POSSIBILITY OF THIS HAPPENING.

So here's what happened: cops have arrested a man for allegedly breaking into Bryan Cranston's car in New Mexico last December, and he's accused of stealing a shoulder bag containing an iPad and a copy of his Breaking Bad script. Apparently a confidential informant told one of Cranston's employees that a man was overheard at a local bar bragging about how he'd taken the script, so it seems the dude knew exactly how valuable his stolen goods were.

Xavier McAfee, 29, is being held on suspicion of burglary -- but the script hasn't been recovered. Which sucks. SUCKS. SUUUUUUUUCKS.

It's just ... I've been looking forward to these final episodes for so long! Every single season of Breaking Bad has been pure genius, and the idea that some jackass might leak a critical part of the ending before the team can tell the story the way they want makes me so bummed. If it gets posted online I'll do my level best to avoid being spoiled, but you know it'll be EVERYWHERE.

Breaking Bad's Charles Baker (aka Skinny Pete) shared a heartfelt public plea for whoever has the script to keep it under wraps:

You've already made a choice to steal from a person who is loved by millions of people ... don't make it worse by betraying the rest of the cast and crew and fellow fans of the show. You have the choice to be a better person than that.

Unfortunately, according to TMZ the thief's previous arrests include 4 juvenile offenses, 9 felony arrests with 1 conviction, 11 misdemeanor arrests with 6 convictions, and 3 pending felonies as well as a DWI. He doesn't exactly seem like a guy who'll prioritize fans' feelings over his ability to turn a profit ... but we can always hope it somehow doesn't go public before the final episodes start airing in July.

Would you be upset if you were spoiled on one of the final Breaking Bad shows?

Best series ever made. So intense! I love lots of other shows, but this one is far and away the best acted, best written, and most original. I hope the guy who stole the script has a change of heart.
