Remember Heidi Agan? The 32-year-old waitress and mom of two who quit her job as a server in order to fulfill her life's ambition of ... impersonating Kate Middleton full-time? Well, she's taken her shtick to a whole new level: She plans to "shadow" Kate's pregnancy -- with fake baby bump prosthetics! Oh, how I wish I was kidding.
The BBC is reporting that Agan "bought a bump in various sizes" because, she says, "As Kate grows I will, too — to be authentic I thought it was important." Agh.
Oh, and somehow, it gets even creepier ...
Agan explains that her attempt to be "pregnant" at the same time as the Duchess has its challenges.
It's difficult at the moment as she's not big enough yet to change her entire wardrobe so it's difficult to see how she's going to dress it.
Is it just me or is this a weeee bit Single White Female?! Okay, okay, the woman makes a really awesome living -- $1,050 an appearance and she does about three a week -- being the faux Kate. So, I can understand that she wants to take her "craft" seriously and be as authentic as she can for her audiences. But something about this rubs me the wrong way.
Just like movie stars and politicians, Kate's a public figure who is bound to be copied left and right. That's a part of her life now. But no matter who you are -- Kate, Kim Kardashian, or someone who lives her life completely out of the public eye -- your pregnancy should be treated as a personal and, to some extent, a private matter. It's Kate's pregnancy -- hers alone. Her body, her business. That shouldn't be taken away from Kate just because she married a prince and happens to be carrying the heir to the throne.
Makes me really wanna tell Heidi Agan to get a life ... of her own!
