'Bachelor' Star's Latest Move Is a Big Mistake

TV Addict 4

lesley bachelorI think it's safe to say that everyone had a soft spot for Lesley Murphy on The Bachelor. She was nice, she was normal, she seemed to have more than just a few brain cells. We liked that she didn't tell Sean Lowe "I love you", we liked that she didn't act like she was 12, and we liked that she had a career as a lobbyist in Washington, D.C. Lesley just seemed down to earth, cool, and smart ... but now? Eh, not so much.

The former Bachelor contestant has apparently been bitten by the fame bug, hard, and has packed her bags and moved to Los Angeles.

Lesley wants to host, you see, like Giuliana Rancic. She wants to be a star! Or, at least, be close to stars! And interview them about what they're wearing!

She and every other Real World, Road Rules, Bachelor, Bachelorette, Survivor, Teen Mom, Real Housewives, and Toddlers & Tiaras alum out there. They all wanna be big stars, but most of them fade sadly into the twilight, clutching their reality show season's DVD with their tanned, manicured hands.

But props to Lesley for having the balls to chase her L.A. dreams. Most people would look at the odds stacked against them, but obviously, she's not deterred. There's definitely something to be said for her gutsy move.

She's not totally going at it alone, though. Her best friend and Bachelor winner Catherine Giudici lives in L.A., and rumor had it she and Lesley were actually sharing an apartment, but that's apparently not true. Still, Lesley's got a support system there, which should help her immensely.

Here's to Lesley becoming the next Ali Fedotowsky ... and not the next Amaya Brecher. (Real World Hawaii, anyone?)

Do you think Lesley would make a good host?
