Kate Middleton's Uncle Lets Awkward Detail About the Duchess Slip

Kate MiddletonWe all have our share of unique relatives, and the Duchess of Cambridge is no exception. For starters, she's got the distant cousin she barely knows, Katrina Darling, who's made a career out of getting naked and having her photo taken; and then she has the crazy uncle (don't we all), who famously owned a place in Ibiza called Casa Bang Bang, where he was filmed sniffing coke.

And sadly for Kate, Uncle Bang Bang (real name Gary Goldsmith) is back.

Goldsmith recently sat down for an interview with Hello! magazine, and while he didn't exactly say anything scathing about the pregnant Duchess, he did reveal something Kate probably doesn't want the world to know. Heyo!

Uncle Gary said that "everything seems to come very easily" for his niece Pippa, but for Kate -- she has to "work really hard at everything." He continued: "She is brilliant at whatever she turns her hand to, but works at it, throwing herself into everything. Whereas Pip, everything seems to come very easily."

Is this a massive insult to Kate? No, of course it isn't. He's essentially calling her a hard-worker. But A) I don't think Kate appreciates her rando relatives giving accounts of the kind of person she is, and B) don't we all think everything Kate does/is is 100 percent natural? Little to no effort involved? We think of her as a royal born to (very rich) commoners, no? We don't want to see how the sausage is made!

Well, whatever "work" Kate's doing, it's working. Girl went and found herself a prince and then married the guy. Just goes to show you -- sometimes you've just gotta roll up your sleeves and get dirty. Or, you know, you have to be born really tall and pretty. Either/or.

Do you think of Kate's uncle's comments are whack?

No, it's Kate who's a wacko and a loser--a woman who has accomplished nothing with her life. And tall does not equal pretty. Plenty of beautiful women are not tall. So she seduced a guy with a public catwalk in a sheer dress. Big effing deal.

I think Eclipse is jealous of Kate's success. You said that "tall doesn't equal beauty" which pretty much means you are jealous of tall women because tall women stand out from the crowed. Now, beauty comes in all shapes and sizes but t does not give you a right to put a person down just because they are tall. Princess Diana was herself 5'10 tall ;) I consider Kate to be a beautiful woman because she takes care of herself and always looks fresh and classy, and she seems like a nice woman from inside and out. About did she accomplish anything in life? Yes she did! She went to a university, got herself a degree, fell in love and got married! She is a perfect role model to young generation and will raise amazing kids! Do not be jealous of her succes :)

I think Eclipse is jealous of tall successful women., tall women stand out from the crowd. I would like to mention that beauty comes in all shapes and sizes, we are all beautiful in our own water just need to carry over selves with grace and Kate does it fantastically. Also, don't forget that princess Di was 5'10 herself ;)

I think Kate achieved a lot in her life, she went to one of the best universities, she got her degree, fell in love and got married. She is decent, well mannered and is a perfect role model for young kids. About attracting prince William on a cat walk in a see through dress? Well why not? She has a killer body and you are young only once!

I would advise you not to be jealous of her and of her successful life, this is what life planned for her and I'm happy for Kate and William :)

I think Eclipse is just voicing her opinion.  Which is something we all have.

I think this title does not match the story.  This was a positive comment towards Kate.  This was a negative comment for Pippa.

Getting a place at the best university in the country is an accomplishment in itself.

I don't think what her uncle said was wrong. Honestly reading this was a waste of time, "Kate works really hard for everything where as for Pippa, everything just comes so easily" Ok no offense to English folk but is that what you call gossip in England?, Really? Let me know when you got something good like "Kate slapped Camilla" or "Kate caught smoking pot" C'MON lol

And yes Kate got Will's attention when she wore the sheer dress on the catwalk but they were in a relationship for 10 years before getting engaged, they even broke up for a time and during that break-up Kate kept her mouth shut about the royal's to the media and THAT impressed Will. Not many women would do that, and I think he then realized Kate was the right woman for him and a great addition to the royal family.

Girl went and found herself a prince and then married the guy?  Really?  I think the author is whack.

I don't get the tall/short envy thing. I'm a shorty who has always done well socially, and attracted good-looking guys. Eclipse, lighten up. I'm 5'2" and my best (and most gorgeous) high school friend was 5'11" and I never for a second envied her struggles to find flattering trousers and long sleeves tops that wouldn't be 3/4 on her, and I ESPECIALLY did not envy all the short guys hounding her. I like em TALL.

As far as Uncle Footinmouth is concerned, he should be aware by now that girls for whom "things come easily" sometimes have to put out to get it. And Pippa sure seems to get around the circuit.
