lil wayneLil Wayne, we still a lil worried about you -- even if Cash Money CEO Birdman insists the rapper's seizure-related hospitalization has nothing to do with drugs at all. Or, more specifically, drank. Yeah, you know the stuff: Call it Purple Drank, call it Sizzurp, it's still prescription-strength cough syrup containing codeine and promethazine mixed with soda, candy and sometimes alcohol. Purple DRANK!

Anyway, Bird didn't comment on earlier reports of Lil Wayne getting his sizzurp-filled stomach pumped, but he did say the seizures were a result of Weezy's "work ethic," not his alleged drug use.

"It's just how he put in and what he believe in and how hard he work, how much dedication he gives to music and his fans and what he tryin' to accomplish in life. It had nothing to do with drugs. He just needs to get some rest, relax, take it one day at a time." Sound advice, Birdman. But is he telling the truth about the drugs?

If you want my honest opinion, yes -- I think Birdman is telling the truth. Look, I'm not saying Lil Wayne doesn't indulge in his fair share of sizzurp or whatever else, but experts say even "high doses of the drink would probably precipitate seizures only in patients who were already prone to them." Meaning, no matter how much drank he be dranking, he wouldn't be having seizures if there weren't some underlying health problem.

What could be wrong with Weezy? I have no idea, but I hope he gets well soon -- and lays off the sizzurp either way, cause that just sounds like a bad thing for any human being to consume.

Do you believe Birdman about Lil Wayne's seizures not being drug-related?
