Sooooo what did you think of the Dancing With the Stars Season 16 premiere? Are you as shocked, somewhat speechless, and intrigued as I am? Um, let's be honest -- none of us really had high expectations when this season's cast was announced.
Sure, there are a few fun names in the group, but after coming off the All Star season, the roster initially seemed like a bit of a let down.
But then the band started to play and Kellie Pickler came out on the dance floor and gave a cha cha performance that was pretty darn amazing considering it's the very first night -- and suddenly Season 16 started looking way more promising than anyone expected.
And Kellie was only the first pleasant surprise this evening. Let's talk about a few other contestants we can't wait to see more of going forward.
Zendaya -- OMG. I feel like I owe this girl an apology for saying nobody would care about watching her and Val Chmerkovskiy because, well, she's not Kelly Monaco. She and Val may not have the same level of chemistry as he and Kelly do, but man -- that girl can dance. She gave the best performance of the night by far.
Ingo Rademacher -- Yeah, this dude is way hotter than I thought he was. (I'm not a General Hospital watcher.) I'll take more of him, plus a second helping after that, please.
Lisa Vanderpump -- Ok, so her dancing wasn't exactly perfect, but I didn't expect Lisa to be so sweet. And I also can't get over that cute little dog of hers. Huh. Maybe I need to hop on the Real Housewives bandwagon.
Sean Lowe -- He didn't suck. The end.
Wynonna Judd -- Can I get a huge round of applause for my girl, Wynonna? She was way more animated and into it tonight than I figured she'd be. And now I love her even more.
Andy Dick -- Whaaaa?? Andy Dick has a heart? And he cries? He's (dare I say it?) actually a little bit charming too. Who knew?
Ok, so those are the cast members who stood out to me the most tonight. But it will be very interesting to see if anyone else steps it up and emerges as a serious contender after next week's performances. Anything can happen on DWTS, and at this point, it's still anyone's game.
Which performance was your favorite on the DWTS premiere?
