The latest shocking Bieber news has nothing to do the singer himself. This time it's his mother making headlines. Pattie Mallette, who famously gave birth to the pop phenom when she was just a teen, sounds as though she's looking for love ... but in all the wrong places. Justin Bieber's mom wants to be the next Bachelorette!
The die-hard fan was enthusiastically tweeting during The Bachelor finale and let it slip that she secretly wants to be a rose bearer! "Who will be the next Bachelorette? Me perhaps?? Hmmmmmm ..." she wrote. I would definitely tune in to that season. The theme song must be "Boyfriend" or "One Less Lonely Girl." And for one challenge, the guys should have to stand in for Justin's bodyguards to see how well they fend off hundreds of screaming, obsessive tweens. The best part, though, would be the home visit. Can you imagine the guys getting the once-over by the Biebs. Hilarious.
But as much as I would LOVE to see Pattie work her way through 25 aspiring fiances, if she were cast, they might as well rename the show “Who’s Looking for a Sugar Mama?” There is no chance those guys won’t have dollar signs in their eyes. They might as well do a season with Martha Stewart, Paris Hilton, and Kim Kardashian too.
I actually feel sorry for Pattie. It's hard knowing if a guy is really in it for the right reasons if your son is a super-famous gazillionaire. She has tried dating in the past. She went out with Bachelor host Chris Harrison once last year, but it didn't go anywhere. Apparently there were no real sparks. Can't say I'm surprised. I am sure he's a nice guy, but if you are a serious fan of the show (and the hunks they typically cast), dating him must seem like a consolation prize.
With the stir her tweet caused, Pattie eventually said it was all a joke. She loves watching the show but couldn't imagine being on it. Not sure I buy that. She clearly wants that happily ever after like Sean and Catherine. Here's hoping she finds it one way or the other.
Do you think Justin Bieber's mom would be a good Bachelorette?
