It was au revoir Paris and back to Beverly Hills tonight on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. For the most part, it was pretty low on drama. Lisa Vanderpump and Ken Todd were planning to renew their vows, and Kyle Richards was opening her fabulous clothing store. Then all of a sudden there was an unexpected appearance by one of the most cringe-worthy Housewives of all time -- Dana Wilkey.
Never a full-fledged wife, but rather deemed a "friend of the Housewives," she and her $25,000 sunglasses last season were so over-the-top and outrageous, it was almost cruel when she didn't come back this season. But oh joy, there she was again tonight, drunk as hell, trying to give Taylor Armstrong relationship advice.
After the ugly breakup with her former fiance, John Flynn, who allegedly cheated on her, Dana made it clear she wasn't sitting around pining away for him. She told Taylor, "I might be the only person in our group getting laid." Then: "I drink a lot, and I’m okay with it. And I f*ck a lot, and I’m okay with it." Okay then.
She kept referring to their group, the one in which she seemingly thinks she belongs to along with the other Housewives. I think the only meetups they have are in her head, but whatever works for her. Then she randomly started attacking Brandi Glanville.
"Are you friends with Brandi now, because I hate that bitch?" she asked/told her. Taylor told her she was working on her relationship with her, and Dana (whilst swilling drinks and smoking cigarettes) slurred a bunch of advice about none of the Housewives having Taylor's back.
The scary thing is that after that rambling conversation, Taylor actually took her advice and decided to reevaluate her friendships. She decided to start with Yolanda Foster, and while they seemingly worked things out and cleaned the slate, you can tell Yolanda still thinks she's an idiot. Oh well.
At the opening of Kyle's store, Adrienne Maloof showed up, but she and Brandi didn't come into contact with one another, so there was no mess there. Kyle and Kim Richards had a big talk about what went down in Paris. Kim claims she got her medication mixed up and was taking one by accident that made her out of it. Kyle halfway bought it, but still doesn't fully trust her. Kim seems resigned to staying on the right path, and I hope she does, but as she said, "Never say never."
Were you glad to see Dana Wilkey back on the show? Or is she simply too crazy?
