If you're among any portion of the country that considers themselves an "Adrienne Maloof fan", you may want to sit down for this one. Adrienne is leaving The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Yes, it's official. Moment of silence ...
Okay, now let's talk shit!
The 51-year-old (1%) hotel owner tweeted: "To my loyal fans . . . It was time to exit RHOBH. The show served as a wonderful platform, stay tuned!" She then wrote, in a blog post, a lengthier version of the exact same sentiment, saying: "The show served as a wonderful platform for all the amazing projects that I have in the works. I am forever grateful to my fans, thank you for your support, and stay tuned!"
More from The Stir: What Brandi Glanville Said About Adrienne Maloof Is FINALLY Revealed
Adrienne, you seem like a nice lady, and I don't mean to be rude, but don't let the door hit you on the way out. Oh, and as long as we're talking cast-shuffling here, can you take Taylor with you? Yawn.
Season 1 of RHOBH, Adrienne was tied as my favorite with Lisa. But as time went on, she not only got kind of boring to watch, she got ... uncomfy to watch. As we delved deeper into her life, it wasn't pretty. Of course we all watch these kinds of shows for drama, but I felt like I was doing something wrong when I watched her and Paul. Like I needed a shower afterwards. It felt gross, seeing them bicker with one another. And quite frankly, it was a little grating.
And then a few weeks ago when she (and Paul, who, side note, needs to settle the f*ck down) had that argument with Brandi at Kyle's white party, I was officially done with her. She was being a complete hypocrite from when Taylor and Camille had their situation last year, and something about her just seemed disingenuous. I started out thinking she was just this super rich lady, who liked sparkly hair extensions and wanted to keep the peace in the group, but as time went on, I realized that that wasn't the case at all. She has it out for people. And don't you dare say anything that will tarnish her reputation -- or she'll serve you up a nice, fat lawsuit. Gross. And really, not playing fair.
RHOBH needs major cast shake-up period. I haven't been nearly as excited this season when I see it on my DVR, and it's clearly because it's the same ladies talking about the same things. I'd love to see Kyle, Lisa, and Yolanda stay, but as far as everyone else goes -- peace.
Are you sad Adrienne is leaving?
