Tonight on Kourtney & Kim Take Miami, the theme was about Kim Kardashian learning her lesson not to get involved in other people's problems. When she meddled in the relationship of Jonathan Cheban and Simon Huck by throwing one of the most uncomfortable dinner parties ever, she found out that butting in can really backfire.
When it came to the advice she gave to her sister Kourtney Kardashian, however, things turned out much better. After talking to Scott Disick and him bemoaning how Kourtney never wants to spend time with him, Kim let her sister have it.
She told her that she'd been ignoring him and his needs for too long, and that if she didn't fix it, she'd lose him. "He’s going to cheat on you, and it’s going to be your fault," she told her. "You just don’t put in any effort. You’re going to, like, lose him, no joke. You’re literally gonna end up, like, alone."
For years now we've seen Kourtney totally ignore Scott for her kids. Now, he's done his fair share of douchey things, and I'm not his biggest fan, but the way she treats him is pretty pathetic. So it was good to see Kim lay it out there for her like that ... and, more importantly, for Kourtney to actually listen. She told the cameras: "Just hearing Kim say those words really just freaks me out. Not that Scott would ever cheat on me, but I just really don't want this for my relationship."
So she planned a trip to Paris with visions of romance and rekindling. Scott immediately wanted to invite friends along, which hurt Kourtney's feelings. But the fact is, she was bringing their kids along with them, so how was he supposed to know it was to be a romantic trip? Two kids under 3 in Paris doesn't sound real romantic to me either.
Still, he kind of put a wet blanket on the trip whining about this and that, and then going off to spend time with his buddy. When Kourt asked him to meet her at the love locks bridge so they could pledge their undying love to one another, the least he could have done was show up. He was too busy at Salvatore Ferragamo though, so Kourtney and Mason threw their own lock in, which quite adorable, but also sad.
When Scott didn't even realize he missed their date, Kourtney cried, and he had no clue why until she finally told him this trip was supposed to romantic. Oh duh. So he apologized, started making it up to her, and they finally threw their lock in the river. Awww. So all's well that ends well. Well, except for Jonathan and Simon. At least Kim was 1-1.
Do you think Kim was right to get involved in Kourtney and Scott's relationship?
