Well, Bachelor host Chris Harrison has a favorite in mind for the next Bachelorette, and I can't say that I'm all that surprised by it.
Yep, you guessed it. He thinks Desiree Hartstock should be The Bachelorette -- and even though he didn't come right out and say it, I'm guessing it has something to do with her emotional exit from Sean Lowe's season of The Bachelor.
Translation -- Chris feels sorry for her. (As does most of America.)
Though he admits the next Bachelorette hasn't officially been chosen, Chris says, "Des is that young, attractive Katie Holmes-looking girl next door. Kind of what this show was built on, finding that diamond in the rough ... the way she comes off on the 'Women Tell All' makes herself a great candidate."
Ok, I like Des (even though there's something about her that bugs me that I can't quite put my finger on), but I won't lie -- I'll be a little disappointed if she's announced as the next Bachelorette.
I don't have anything against her, but in my opinion, there's a much better choice to take on the role and make the next season of the show one of the most interesting and entertaining yet.
Who else thinks Lesley Murphy should be The Bachelorette, hands down?
OMG. I l-o-v-e Lesley. Love 'er. She's cute. She's funny. She's smart. And she's confident and doesn't take any shit, which is one of the most endearing and desirable qualities a girl can have.
Out of all the women on Sean's season, she's the one I can most see being friends with in real life -- which automatically made me want to root for her from the start of the show.
But I have to agree with Sean sending her home when he did, because he's all wrong for her. She needs a more laid-back dude who is still outgoing and fun at the same time. And I'm sure she'll be able to find him if she's given 25 guys to pick from.
One more reason ABC should make Lesley the Bachelorette? She wants to do it. She said, "I would definitely consider being the Bachelorette if the opportunity presented itself."
Well, there you have it. Now let's just hope ABC is smart enough to offer her the gig.
