Tori Spelling & Dean McDermott Divorce Rumors Are as Ridiculous as They Are Cruel

star magazine tori spelling dean mcdermottSometimes, we can't help but think there's gotta be a grain of truth to a celeb rumor. But then there are the times when a tabloid comes out with a tall tale that is just beyond comprehension and is so vicious and fictitious-sounding that you totally understand why celebs occasionally resort to lawsuits. One of Star magazine's latest seems to me like the latter. They're claiming that happy parents to four, Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott, are on the rocks and headed for a gigantic, knock down-drag out divorce. For real?!

No way, according to a spokesperson for Tori, who said the rumors as "ridiculous and not true." It can't be true. And I'm not just saying that because I adore them together, feel like they seem legit happy, and really want to see it work! I'm also saying it because Star's "facts" seem totally wonkadoo nuts and just plain evil ...

Like apparently, Dean is a gold-digger out to tap into Tori and his mother-in-law Candy Spelling's $300 million fortune and he plans to use their kids as "leverage." Uch! Oh, and it gets worse ...

The tabloid reports that their marital problems stem from Tori not being able to "shift" her baby weight (a subject she's gone after Star for reporting falsely in the past) ... and Dean calling her "fat." Disgusting, and I can't even begin to wrap my head around Dean doing that, but okay.

And then apparently, she's also paranoid about Dean's cheating. She fears he has "been seeing two different women for years," according to a source. "She's so suspicious, she monitors his email and put a tracker on his phone. She even hired a private investigator to follow him!" Wowww ...

Granted, these two did meet while married to their ex spouses. And Dean did have children already. So I guess it's not completely crazy to think "once a cheater, always a cheater" might apply here. Still, I sure as heck hope not even a sliver of this is true. It seems much more likely that Star has no qualms running fictitious dirt and being as vicious as they can about the most well-adjusted, normal, and well-meaning celebs they can think to target. It's absolutely gross.

Could you see there being any truth to this vicious story?
