Hey! Good news if you're a Christina Applegate fan and are invested in her lifelong happiness. The Anchorman 2 star (and recently resigned Up All Night star) got married this weekend to her boyfriend of four years, Martyn LeNoble. The two tied the knot in front of an intimate group of family and friends at their Los Angeles home on Saturday.
There aren't many Hollywood couples that I think have a fighting chance at actually making it, other than John Travolta and his wig, of course, but I think Christina and Martyn have a solid shot at seeing this thing through.
First of all, they're not strangers. After dating for four years and being engaged for two (he popped the question on Valentine's Day 2010), Christina and Martyn know each other very well -- often an overlooked key to success of Hollywood couples who marry.
Second of all, they've been to the dark side, and back. Christina underwent a double mastectomy in 2008 right when the couple first met, and she credits Martyn for getting her through that very difficult time in her life. Knowing they can count on one another for support and love even when times are tough will make their relationship stronger than ever.
Thirdly, they share an understanding of each other's careers. Martyn was the front man for the '90s rock group Porno for Pyros, and we all know that Christina's a famous actress. They'll be able to be sounding boards for one another, without having to compete.
And last but not least, they have a daughter together, Sadie Grace, 2. If ever there was a reason to make it work, I'm sure it's her.
Do you think Christina and Martyn are in it to win it?
