PinkSo, are you sick and tired of all the Oscars coverage yet? Well, here's something equally mind-numbing to perhaps distract you for a solid couple of minutes. Rumor has it that Pink, 33, badass singer and occasional actress, might be replacing the lovable train wreck that is Britney Spears on the US version of X Factor. Ho mah gah. It's okay, I'll give you a second to take it all in.

Hell, you never know, this mixup could make the show quite interesting. Pink is never one to hold back, she's super-talented, and watching her duke it out with Simon Cowell might be enough for X Factor virgins to tune in (I haven't seen a single episode, for the record, sorry, but listening to what Pink has to say with her attitude and candor is definitely an appealing idea).

Still, this is just a rumor. She's been so against judging before, why would she change her mind now? Seriously, this is a far more important question to ponder than what to have for lunch today.

Here's what she had to say to Australia's Herald Sun about not wanting the gig:

I was offered The Voice in Australia plus American Idol and The X Factor. I said no because you can’t be honest. People will hate you if you’re honest. Simon Cowell is the only person who gets away with it because he’s got an accent. And he’s a man. People would just hate me more than they already do. I don’t want to hurt anybody’s feelings. Besides, you can sing karaoke anywhere.

Yikes, right? It'd certainly be interesting for her to change her mind after a stance like this. She probably also has her daughter, Willow Sage Hart, who was born back in June 2011, to consider when it comes to any professional move. But, then again, you can kind of tell how awesome she'd be at the job by observing that Simon can get away with being a douchehat because he's a man with an accent and that the whole competition is one big karaoke contest.

With quips like that, the "Try" singer could be the perfect counterpoint to Cowell. She could bring a whole new level of awkwardness and meanness that these reality shows desperately need. As long as she can keep it real and not worry about folks hating her, she might be a pretty solid choice to replace Britney.

Wonder what poor Brit Brit thinks of these latest rumors? At least she's got her new brunette locks and ample cleavage to keep her company through this difficult and trying time.

Think Pink would make a good judge on X Factor? Do you watch the show?
