Sweet baby Hay-zeus, a lot has come from Kim Kardashian's recent DuJour magazine interview. First, there was news that she was quitting Keeping Up With the Kardashians. (Then there was news that she wasn't.) And now the Internet is rife with reports that, thanks to Kanye West, Kim Kardashian will no longer bless adoring fans -- AKA the people who made her a krakillionaire -- with her autograph. And it's half-true. And also, Kanye and Kim are actually on to something here. I can't believe I'm going to say this, but: For once, I agree with Kimye.
Okay, so to clear up the rumor, Kim will still sign autographs (exhale), but just not when she's mid-bite of foie gras while at dinner with her boyfriend. In all fairness, the quote was an easy one to misconstrue, as the magazine reported that Kim has "started to be more selective when fans ask for her autograph in airports or when out to dinner." She's then quoted as saying: "I just tell them, sorry, but my boyfriend won’t let me." But, clearing things up, Kim wrote on her blog: "In a recent interview I was asked what Kanye had taught me that I value the most. I said privacy. I have learned to understand that it’s important to have boundaries, especially when we are having a private date night dinner. So if someone came up to the table at dinner, I used to get up, take pics and sign an autograph in the middle of our meal. Now, I know that this time is our private time, and I absolutely will as soon as I’m done eating!"
So, okay, the woman wants to eat dinner in peace, as does her baby-daddy. That's really not so much to ask.
Truth be told, I'm always amazed when fans go up to celebrities while they're in the middle of a meal. I've seen it happen countless times, and although stars are public figures pretty much asking to be hounded whenever they're among common folk, I really do find it rude. I know it's Kim Kardashian and all, but is nothing sacred?
Kanye West and Kim Kardashian aren't my most favorite couple in the world, but I'm glad they've decided to start enjoying their meals uninterrupted. I'm not sure why, but I am.
Have you ever asked a celeb for an autograph?

i asked for an autograph one time when i was a kid. Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez were in my hometown filming "Jersey Girl". Theres a scene in the movie where they r are at a grave yard, well where they were filiming was right down the street from my house. So we decided to go up there and there were fans everywhere. I got a signiture from Ben Afflec but Jenn wouldnt sign anyones papers! i remember how nice Ben was about it. He let me take pics of me and him. he was so nice. i wonder what was up Jenns ass that day! lol
I get it, I wouldn't want to be interupted all the time either but at least own it, don't pass the decision (blame) off on someone else. Next thing you know we'll be reading articles on all the other things Kayne "won't let" her do.
No I never have. Its just strange. Especially when you see these people out in "normal" situations. Dh shared a private waiting room with Ben Rothlisberger once, and as cool as it would have been for him to get an autograph for our son, both of these dudes were about to undergo serious surgery lol. He just asked him how his shoulder felt and left it at that.
