Game of Thrones season 3
Dragon!
For those of you who were brilliant and nerdy enough to stay in on Friday night and check out Jimmy Kimmel Live to witness for yourself the official 60-second trailer for season 3 of Game of Thrones, Tyrion Lannister and I raise our wine glasses to you. Jimmy Kimmel is a huge fan of the series (who isn't?), and he too is waiting with bated breath for March 31, when the third season premieres. It's gonna be so good.

Obviously the amazing plot twists that fill up A Storm of Swords, the book the third season is based upon, aren't revealed in the trailer, but getting glimpses of the castles, the Wall, the familiar faces, Joffrey on the throne (he's still as annoying as he was in the first two seasons), and yes, a dragon(!) miiiiight just be enough to tide fans over for the next few weeks.

No spoilers for season 3 ahead so you can marvel in the newly released trailer that debuted on Jimmy in all its glory.

Here it is!

OMFG, right? There's just so much going on. And they seriously couldn't have picked a better song. According to some very helpful YouTube commenters, the song is "Bones" by MS MR, in case you want to know.

How could you not get chills watching this? And is that a glimpse of Ygritte and Jon kissing? I die. Hopefully she whispered in his ear that he knows nothing before the big, tender moment. Daenerys Targaryen looks fantastic as always, Tyrion looks cunning and clever as always, Catelyn Stark looks protective as always, the sets and scenery are truly breathtaking, there are simply no words for the scale and ... epicness of this show.

And of course, in typical Game of Thrones fashion, it gives you such a cheery, bright, happy outlook on life: Death is coming, darkness is coming, fire is coming, and everyone's going to get tormented by King Joffrey.

Cannot wait.

What do you think of the latest Game of Thrones trailer?
