Ah, the life of a celebrity. The best restaurant tables. Tons of freebies sent right to you. People willing to pay you absurd amounts of cash to show up at a party. And then the best of all -- you get whisked through security lines at airports while the rest of us plebians are trying to balance our trays filled with personal belongings while taking off our shoes and getting manhandled at the screening area. None of that inconvenience for Kim Kardashian and Kanye West though. The expecting couple were recently escorted past long security lines at JFK airport by a special "airline greeter" -- a mysterious creature none of us regular folk will ever see -- who allowed them to go straight past security and take a seat on their plane. Nice, eh? But wait a second!
Kim and Kanye, who were bound for Los Angeles after returning from Brazil, were apparently NOT supposed to go around a key TSA checkpoint after all. Nope. Not even Kimye gets past the TSA.
TMZ reports that an agent came aboard the plane and "yanked" them off the flight. Okay, I doubt they were yanked. It was probably more like, "Please forgive me Mr. and Mrs. Kardashian, I'm so very truly humbly sorry and abjectly offer my endlessly groveling apologies, but I need to escort you off the flight. Champagne and chocolate-covered strawberries are waiting. Please don't sue me."
Reportedly once the pair were off the plane, they were then put through another layer of security -- but get this, meanwhile, the unwashed masses back on the plane had to WAIT 50 MINUTES! Unbelievable. I'd be ripping mad if I had to wait up for Kimye.
Apparently the TSA is investigating the incident. (Translation: Somebody gonna get their ass handed to them on a platter.) It makes you wonder how safe our planes are. Terrorists may need only pretend to be a celebrity to get past security and straight onboard! That's a joke. Don't arrest me.
Do you think Kim and Kanye should have been given special treatment like that?
