I love how when the Bachelor debuted this season, I was all, OK, not going to watch this year. Sean Lowe is so boring. Now, here I am, totally engrossed in the season. Well, engrossed is an overstatement. Maybe more like inadvertently occupied by it. Anyway, when there's a Bachelor, there's always talk about who will be the girl to get the spinoff and rumors are starting to heat up about who will be the Bachelorette in Season 9.
So far, insiders say the front-runner is ...
Nobody. According to sources, ABC has yet to decide on who's going to be the next Bachelorette.
But! I have some ideas.
If my first choice of Lindsay Lohan turns down the job, and my second choice of Dina Lohan also rejects the opportunity, then I think Desiree, the wedding dress consultant or whatever, should be the next Bachelorette.
We've never had a quirky and smart girl in the role before and it would be nice if that genre of woman, if you will, was represented on the show. Plus, she's hot. She's a regular Zooey Deschanel, but with a little more coordination and social grace.
Plus, it seems like Dez doesn't have that great of a shot at winning this game show, er, I mean, Sean's heart, anyway. After you get tipsy on the beach and weep about how your family means everything to you, you're setting the bar kind of high for the hometown date. As in, I'm sure Sean was into the fact that she's a family-oriented girl, but was then, as the previews indicated this week, a little taken aback by her redneck brother who threatened to kick his ass.
That's not exactly family I'd be proud to introduce to my new reality show boyfriend, and I think Sean will be equally miffed, ultimately sending her home next week, which, naturally, opens the gateway for her Bachelorettehood.
I guess Lindsay's also a contender, but she might win this whole thing -- who knows. And Catherine and AshLee? Eh, snoozers. Catherine's really cool and I'd love to be friends with her, but I think she's too smart to sign up again for reality TV. And AshLee is just way too intense for her own good. Have we seen her laugh on the show, like, even once?
By the way, Sarah thinks she has a shot at getting the coveted role, which, lol. Dez is the only choice ... after the Lohan's, of course.
Who do you think should be the next Bachelorette?
