Justin Bieber SNL Miley Cyrus SkitI know it's sort of lame, but I've been looking forward to Justin Bieber hosting Saturday Night Live for a few weeks now. Last night, the Biebs stepped up to the plate and it was ... eh. Fresh from his split from Selena Gomez, Justin's opening monologue was corny to say the least, making me feel super awkward as he "joked" about Black History Month and Valentine's Day interchangeably with the help of Kenan Thompson and Whoopi Goldberg.

The skits, well, they were the same balance of awkward and funny. It wasn't until the skit where Bieber played the ultimate Miley Cyrus fan to Vanessa Bayer's hilarious Miley where the REAL meat came out. Appearing on her talk show, he poked fun at how totally lame Justin Bieber is saying he "looks like a lesbian." Then came the pot confession we were ALL waiting for.

Just in case you missed it in all the excitement -- the ecstatic Miley fan referenced those notorious marijuana photos, saying "I also heard he got busted smoking weed, and people make mistakes, and he's really sorry about it and he's never going to do it again."

I exhaled for him after that tidbit. Listen, I'm sure Bieber was super nervous to confront the issue. After the photos leaked last month, Bieber publicly recognized the dilemma on Twitter saying that he saw and heard all of his fans and he "never wanted to let them down." His SNL gig was his chance to apologize again, and although it made me cringe -- it did the job.
