'Game of Thrones' Season 3 Iceland Teaser Gives Us the First Glimpse Beyond the Wall (VIDEO)

Awesome.
There's nothing like a Game of Thrones season 3 teaser to get you through your week. And this one, featuring life beyond the Wall, just goes to show that real life > visual effects. We get to check in with Kit Harington, who plays Jon Snow, Kristofer Hivju, who we'll get to see as Tormund Giantsbane, Ciarán Hinds as Mance Rayder (how awesome is his voice), and Rose Leslie, who plays Ygritte.

And, well, they pretty much just go off about how freakin' cold and miserable it is filming the third season in Iceland. But also how much it's going to pay off in the end.

You get brief glimpses of how gorgeous and effective filming in an environment like that truly is. You really are transported to a different world, a more harsh, savage one, and clearly, everyone wants to know what will happen to Jon, one of the most beloved characters.

There are mild spoilers ahead, sorry!!

Here's the latest teaser:

Nope, still can't get over Hinds' voice. It's like musical silk but eerie and creepy at the same time. Where does HBO find these actors?!

It's going to be so exciting to see (SPOILERS!!!) Jon finally getting it on with Ygritte, while she constantly tells him he knows nothing, of course, then him betraying Mance and fighting in one of the biggest battles so far in the series -- well, that might take place in season 4, depending on how they split the book up. Part of me wishes I didn't read A Storm of Swords to be fully surprised and ignorant of what's going to happen. But watching these awesome actors interact and try to out-wit each other (in the freezing cold and snow) is going to be one of the many highlights of season 3.

Cheers to this cast and crew for taking on the brutal elements so we nerds are treated to such a visual feast. Can't wait until March 31!

Are you excited for Game of Thrones season 3? What do you think is in store for Jon Snow?

I'm much more into the books than the tv series so I know whats in store for Jon but I'm still excited for the next season. I can't wait for Ygritte to say "You know nothing Jon Snow."

I think I'll re-read the book as the episodes progress.

She already said that in season 2.
