Jennifer Aniston & Justin TherouxJennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux have reportedly gone to couples' therapy in preparation for their marriage. Actually, correction, make that an "intensive three-day marriage boot camp." No, it's not because they're having problems, it's because they're supposedly just trying to get it all out there before they tie the knot. Clear the air. Lay the groundwork for an awesome life of wedded bliss. And I commend them -- I think it's a great idea. But one of the things they're doing in therapy -- screaming their lungs out -- I'll pass on, thanks.
According to a source: "Jennifer thought it would be a good idea to start married life rid of any problems. Justin seems to be as much a believer in the therapy as Jennifer is. On arrival, they had to hand over their mobile phones and undertake counseling, couple massages, and screaming therapy -- where you howl your feelings out at the top of your voice." Yes to the massages please. No to the screaming.
I think it's fantastic that Jen and Justin are doing this -- especially since, according to this same source, Jennifer was supposedly harboring anxieties from her 2005 marriage breakup (sure she is, Source) -- but I just don't think I could get behind scream therapy. However, I'd love to see Justin and Jen screaming. That would be therapeutic in its own right.
I'm happy these two crazy kids decided to go for counseling before the big day. Seems like a smart and healthy thing to do, and it shows they're not just about the wedding. But I have a feeling they'd make it work even without the rub-downs and yelling. Anybody who's willing to commit to a three-day marriage boot camp situation seems like they're in it for the long-haul.
Did you attend counseling before getting married?
