February 10, people! That's how close we are to "The Suicide King," which marks the first of the final eight episodes of the third season of The Walking Dead. Personally, I wish they'd premiered on the 14th because zombies would be a great improvement to the expectation-heavy commercialized crapfest that is Valentine's Day, but I guess I won't complain about not having to wait.
Anyway, as we gear up to reunite with Daryl Dixon and the rest of the gang who is mostly unimportant compared to Daryl Dixon, I've got an interesting teaser about what's to come. If you haven't caught up with the show, click no further -- otherwise, come along to join me in speculating about the craziness that may be planned for Rick.
TV news/spoiler site TVLine was asked to comment on Walking Dead spoilers for the back half of season 3, and here's what they said:
When the show returns on February 10, not only will we learn the outcome of the Daryl/Merle showdown, a character you probably never thought you’d see again will put in an appearance, and Rick will do something (literally) everyone has wanted to do at one time or another.
Based on existing photos and hints, it seems a safe bet to guess that Daryl survives the showdown, and Morgan from season 1 is the returning character. But what's the something that Rick will do that everyone can identify with? By "everyone" is TVLine talking about all the characters on the show, or everyone as in all the viewers? If it's the latter ... well, here are my ideas:
• Kill the Governor
• Slap Andrea
• Tell Michonne she looks like grumpy cat
• Go back in time and shove Lori into the mouth of a hungry walker
• Go back in time again and put a GPS tracking device on Sophia
• Have hot monkey sex with Daryl
• Find an abandoned boat, stand at the helm and shout, "I'm KING OF THE ZOMBIE WOORRRRRLD!"
• Steal Dale's hat
Are there any clues in this video teaser?
Really, I have no idea on this one. Maybe TVLine's talking about Rick doing a thing we've all wanted to do that's not necessarily related to the show, like walk away from an unpleasant situation or eat an entire box of Krispy Kremes while getting a deep-tissue glute massage. (What?) We'll find out soon enough, I suppose. Eleven! More! Days!
PS: Looping back to Valentine's Day, here's a lovely card I found on Etsy:
What are your best guesses for this thing Rick will do that "everyone has wanted to do at one time or another"?
