Miley Cyrus Braless 'Cosmo' Cover Reveals More Than Cleavage

Style Savvy 30

Miley Cyrus CosmoMiley Cyrus is making headlines for her shocking appearance once again. This time it's for her cover shot on the March issue of Cosmopolitan in which she appears braless, sporting just a white suit.

Via twitter, she hyped it up: "Who ready for @cosmopolitan to start givin up the goods?!?! So excited for y'all to see my cover." So I'm not sure it's really "the goods", but you can see some pretty significant cleavage.  It's less skin than plenty of others Cosmo covers we've seen, and while there's plenty of outcry against the Disney darling for this move, it's pretty classy really.

I'm no huge fan of Miley. Actually I'm not sure what she's really done since Hannah Montana of which to be a fan, but I do get tired of all of the Miley Cyrus hate. People love to slam this girl from her hair to her habits with vehemence, and I'm not sure why.

Reaction to the cover has been no different. From people saying she's "trailer trash" and "trying too hard" (and those are some of the nice ones), people are acting like Cosmo is usually covered with people dressed like nuns. Yes, Miley seems to like attention, but what celebrity doesn't.

And honestly for a childhood star, she seems to have things pretty well together. She's no Lindsay Lohan that's for sure. So what if she shows off her hot, young body?

She, however, doesn't seem to let it get her down and reveals that she has found the best form of revenge -- happiness, most notably with her fiance (or husband?!) Liam Hemsworth. She's clearly head over heels for him. She told the magazine:

I'll literally look at him and [will] be like 'You are hot, dear god!' The other day, I turned on the pool heater and it was steaming, and he walked outside and took off his clothes and jumped in the pool. I was like, 'I'm gonna faint – the hottest guy of my life is in a steaming pool. This looks like a Playgirl shoot.' So I took a photo and made it the background on my phone. My best friend grabbed my phone and was like, 'Who's that? He is so hot!' That's my hubby!

Um, "hubby"? Is there something else you want to reveal Miley?

I don't mind her. I think she's a beautiful young woman with talent. I think all of the outrageous things she does is because of all the people constantly sticking their noses into her decisions. I hate what she did to her hair, but it's her hair and something she felt she needed to do. Why can't people just let her grow up and be an adult? I don't understand calling her a slut and whore, either. She's been with the same man for years, but because she shows cleavage and thigh, she must be a slut. Taylor Swift has had like 15 boyfriends in the last four years, but because she dresses like a mother from the 1950's, I guess that means she's a saint. Some people.

I like Miley. She's not a child anymore and some people can't deal with that and it's a shame. I agree, she's showing way less skin here than other covers. Look at Beyonce's cover where she's got the bottom of her boob hanging out of her top and she's wearing panties. Or that cover that Jen Aniston did a few years back where all she was wearing was a tie. And she's not trying hard to show she's got a chest. Did you see her on 2 1/2 Men? For being super tiny, the girl has got a chest. If she wants to show it off, more power to her.

like the article said she is still chasing being a celebrity-and since her Disney princess gig disappeared at 18 like Cinderella's couch at midnite has done nothing but try to perpetuate that celebrity by being a twitter clown-so she creates her own controversy then complains when anyone notices her completely trashy behavior-simply-Smelly is not eating celebrity pie without anyone looking -otherwise how would she get paid??? when she does something that shows she isn't complete illiterate southern white trash and purposely tring to shock and disgust people calling it art??? maybe people will stop calling the kettle black until then the so called"haters" are just stating the truth of what she is putting out to the world-in her case the truth hurts-she's a fake poser fame drooling spotlight chaser- she is not original and seems to be just grasping at any "image" she can cash in on-if she doesn't like people commenting on the celbrity image she has created for herself to make herself as famous and popular as possible for the purpose of making money then she should go to school and get and actual job-not a job squeezing her tits together in a open shirt trying act tough-so she doesn't want people to look at the cover of cosmo?? or does she?? she wants to pose like a sluttt but no one can call it what it is?? she is obviously trying too hard-maybe she should try as hard at college

congratulations miley, from one that was adored by every young girl, and loved by every young boy that grew up with you.  you have now shown them a perfect example how  a pretending to be a sweet girl and actually being a pig.

I agree with Katrinas27 completely! I have never been a great fan of Miley but she is an adult and showing much less skin than most stars these days. People need to quit all the negativity. She is a young woman finding her way in a world that loves to criticize others while not looking at themselves

While Miley may have the right to show off her body, it doesn't mean she should. I shudder to think of the influence she has become due to her behavior and manner of dress as of late. I certainly wouldn't want any daughter of mine to follow her example. While we should encourage our children to be confident in who they are there is a fine line in "confidence" and flat out exposure. Should we really let our children watch Hanna Montana in good faith knowing full well the person she has become?
