While Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries' divorce proceedings, which have so bizarrely dragged on for so muuuuch longer than they were married, there's been a lot of back and forth. A lot of he said, she said. And although she's talked to the press a bit here and there, Kim hasn't really come out with her side of the current story in full. Until now -- in the first ten minutes of Kourtney & Kim Take Miami, which E! just released as a special promo.
In the clip, Khloe says how she can't even believe that Kim married Kris in the first place, and that it feels like was all a dream. And that's when Kim really opens up about the legal battle she's been in with her ex ...
She ruefully responds:
A really expensive dream that won’t leave me alone. It’s something that should be over and done with but unfortunately it’s not that easy. I’m annoyed about it but I’ve taken it to a level that I can’t stress about this. The judge says we will be divorced in 2013.
Check out the full clip here ... (The part where they really discuss the divorce is at 4:28.)
It's actually enough to make you feel kinda bad for her, right? After all the press and brouhaha surrounding the whole debacle, I'm more and more convinced the marriage was the result of her being a bit brainless and very impulsive -- and yes, ignoring signs that it wasn't right. After all, Khloe and Lamar got married impulsively and seem to have it together (maybe ...). So yeah, it does seem kind of horrible that she has to now contend with this ongoing, drawn-out, teeth-clenching nightmare of a divorce, in which Kris actually wants her to admit to fraud. Ouch.
Not sure how long they shot the show, but I'm guessing they won't be divorced by the time we get to the season finale. Still, it'll be interesting to see how the divorce proceedings pop up in the show. How Kanye feels about the whole thing. OMG, will Kim have a meltdown talking to her lawyer -- or even more shock-worthy, Kris?! Craaazy.
I was on the fence about watching this season, but because a.) they're shooting in Miami where my fiance and I are getting married and b.) there's sure to be even more drama related to Kim/Kanye/Kris Humphries coming up, there's no doubt about it now -- count me in.
What do you think about what Kim had to say about her marriage/divorce? Will you be watching Kourtney & Kim Take Miami?
