Hey, did you hear about that cruraaaaaazay thing Bradley Cooper said at the Golden Globes? Heavenly hottie Bradley was asked about his relationship with his Silver Linings Playbook costar Jennifer Lawrence because journos just can't conceive the idea that the two might not be getting serious under the sheets. Certainly, their behavior at last night's Golden Globes did nothing to quell rumors of a romance. The two sat next to each other, giggling, chatting, and looking quite cozy. But when asked backstage by those nosy reporters if the pair were an item, Bradley said something I don't believe I've ever heard a Hollywood dude say before. This one is for the record books, folks.
When asked about Jennifer, who is 22, Bradley, who is 38, actually opened his mouth and said:
If it didn't happen by now, it's not gonna happen. I could literally be her father.
Yowsa! Apparently Bradley did NOT get the Hollywood Linings Dating Playbook. You know, the one that says that if you're a Hollywood star, it's perfectly acceptable -- nay, preferable -- to date a woman almost two decades younger than yourself. It's the playbook followed by guys like Bruce Willis (wife Emma Heming is 23 years younger), Russell Simmons (girlfriend Hana Nitsche is almost 30 years younger), and even fellow Golden Globes attendee Paul Hogan, who is married to 19-years-younger Linda Kozlowski, his costar in the Crocodile Dundee movies.
Bradley seems to like women his own age. He dated Zoe Saldana, who is 34, and Renee Zellweger, who is 43, and possibly Sandra Bullock, who is 48. He was also briefly married to Jennifer Esposito, who is 39.
If women like Demi Moore, Susan Sarandon, and Mariah Carey should be allowed to love younger men and be left alone about it, then it should be the same for men. But I admit I love me a man who loves women, not girls. Bradley would be sexy no matter who he dated, but saying that Jennifer is too young for him just made him a whole lot of sexier in my playbook.

What he said does not make him sexier - it makes him a real man! Way past time for true men who protect women and children speak up! This sick behavior of people 20 plus years older than their partner needs to be stopped. We all know when you have that kind of an age difference, the older person is seeking control. Wake up young people, this is not a good idea! When the older person goes for a younger person, you are starting off with a very immature (the older one) person. Beware younger ones. You will grow out of these old "kids" and they are not doing you any favors!
I think he has a rather tarnished image given his dating past. Given that past, this was such a refreshing comment from him - my respect for him has definitely gone up a few notches.
Whether Bradley thinks its ok to date Jen or not is beside the point. Their match up onscreen is a big immoral decision by the Bradley and the film's makers.
