Britney Spears & Jason Trawick Had to Split With Problems Like These

Love & Learn 8

Britney Spears Jason TrawickWhat a week for Britney Spears. First the news that she's leaving X Factor, and now she and fiance Jason Trawick are calling it quits? It was starting to sound like Brit was headed back down the all-too-familiar path to destruction. That is until we found out why the couple is dunzo.

Britney fans, take heart. It sound like our girl is finally putting herself first! Any guesses?

Sources tell TMZ the Britney breakup comes down to kids. Britney is 31 and a mother of two, but she's not done with her childbearing years. Jason, on the other hand, is 41, and he's not keen on going through diaper blow outs, middle of the night wake-ups, and baby barf.

Hello irreconcible differences!

You can't blame Brit or Jason here. This isn't like being annoyed that he leaves his socks on the living room floor and it's not one of those couple fights that magically goes away after you tie the knot. They're at separate places in their lives, and creating a child isn't a matter to be taken lightly.

Either someone wants kids or they don't. And the consequence of pushing one side or the other can be seriously damaging -- especially if a child is born into a marriage where one spouse ends up resentful. Not only are the adults damaged, but that can be one hell of a life for a child!

Splitting was the only option here.

What's important here is that Britney didn't cave. She knows what she wants, and she's finally decided that she matters enough not to compromise. That doesn't sound like a woman who is going to shave her head and go wild; it sounds like a lady who has her head on straight!

I'm even going to dare to say it: more women need to be like Britney. You need to be strong enough to say "no way" when a relationship just isn't working out. It's bound to hurt right now, but Britney just saved herself a lot of heartache down the road.

Put yourself in Britney's stilettos. Would you split too?

OMG it must be true. It came from TMZ!!!

Britney is mentally unstable and can't even take care of herself, she shouldn't be having more children.

If it is true, who waits until a year into an engagement to agree on having kids or not? That's a dealbreaker question that everyone should raise much, much earlier in a relationship and save everyone a lot of time and heartache.

Seems like something they might have worked out before an engagement, but at least they didn't get married before figuring it out. Or worse! Some people have a child before one of them realizes he or she doesn't want to parent.

Too bad. I was sorta curious to see what their baby would look like.

She doesn't have custody of herself much less her 2 kids so why is bringing another into the world a good idea?  I am sad to hear this though, after all the bad things she's gone through I was hoping it was turning around for her.

Unless you have asked your SO if he wants kids YEARS before you were ever engaged or married, and then all of a sudden after you are married, the truth really comes out.....I asked that question to my husband way back when we were first dating because it was THAT important to me even then. He said yes. I continued the relationship on that basis, and married him. As it turns out, he was not being truthful about wanting children, and for that (among many other reasons as well) I left and we are heading for divorce. I won't bring a child into this world that won't be adored and wanted by both parents equally. Trust me when I say leaving was the hardest decision I have ever made. I hold no.resentment against my husband. I love him dearly and he is a great guy, but we want different things. I believe that I am worth having something so important to me. It's not my fault that he felt he could not be truthful with me about wanting kids, and if he had, life would be do much less painful for both of us right now.
