heidi montag spencer prattAt one point, several years back in The Hills heyday, we couldn't get away from Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt (aka Speidi) no matter how hard we tried. Then, not long after Heidi underwent a horrifying amount of plastic surgery, they (thankfully, whew!) fell off the face of the planet. But apparently the former reality stars can't figure out what else to do with their lives other than star on a reality show -- and likely desperately need the cashola -- because they're making a comeback. Ugh. Yes, it's true.

The good news is that it may be completely contained to across the pond. That's because Speidi has joined the cast of the U.K.'s Celebrity Big Brother show. They'll be competing as a "single entity" against the 10 other housemates. Oh, dear.

By the way, although she was rumored to be among Speidi's future co-stars, Lindsay Lohan is apparently hanging back here in the States, hopefully trying to clean up her latest trainwrecks.

But anyway, back to our original flavor of crazy -- Speidi. Apparently, they're taking this Celebrity Big Brother thing reeeeally seriously. Says Spence in pre-taped interview:

It's going to be hard because I really don't like other people. I'm ready to get in there. I'm ready to do battle. It's on. We definitely want to win. My game plan is to make everyone just want to quit and leave.

Good luck with that, right? Apparently, the two were immediately sent to live in the basement of the house, where they get limited rations and have to sleep on dirty mattresses. Wow.

Seriously, I never thought I could feel bad for these two. And I still can't possibly when Spencer is still dishing out gems like, "At one time, I definitely felt like we were the most famous people in the world. I love myself, what can I say?" Ugh! But since they look totally schlocky (proof that the really did spend aaaall of their MTV moneys, and they're now super-hard-up for dough), and Celebrity Big Brother is their idea of a comeback (cringe), I'm thinking pitying them is completely doable.
