Jef Holm's Rumored Pursuit of Ashley Tisdale Confirms What We've Known All Along

by Mary Fischer on January 4, 2013 at 2:22 PM

Emily Maynard & Jef Holm

Sigh. Doesn't anyone go on The Bachelor or The Bachelorette with the right intentions anymore? Isn't there more to life than money, fame, and rubbing elbows with various celebrities?

Apparently not -- especially if the new rumor about Jef Holm making a play for Ashley Tisdale is true. Yes -- Ashley Tisdale, as in Ashley Tisdale from High School Musical.

According to a new report in Star, Jef has gotten pretty chummy with Ashley's sister, Jennifer, on Twitter, in the hopes of getting closer to Ashley, who he became "infatuated" with after meeting at the Jingle Ball in Los Angeles last month.

And call me crazy, but if Jef really is pursuing Ashley, my gut tells me it's not because he's madly in love with her and wants to put a ring on her finger. (Been there, done that.)

Nope. Get this one -- she might be able to give him a second chance at fame.

One source says, "Ashley and her sister have a successful production company named Blondie Girl that produces reality shows. So he’s hoping Ashley and Jennifer will develop a new show for him."

OMG. I really, really don't want this to be true, but for whatever reason, the idea of Jef looking for his ticket to super-stardom really doesn't seem all that far fetched.

I know rumors are just rumors most of the time, but there have been so many different stories popping up about Jef that make him sound like a total fame whore -- to the point where it's pretty hard not to believe them a little.

First, there was talk of him wanting to be on Dancing With the Stars. And oh yeah, there was the whole rumor about him shopping a tell-all book about his experience on The Bachelorette. And then he supposedly showed up at Emily Maynard's hotel before Ashley Hebert and J.P. Rosenbaum's wedding in the hopes that she would bring him as her date (where he could mingle with the reality TV "in" crowd).

And now -- there's the Ashley Tisdale thing. If it's true, it means that Jef is way more interested in fame than anything or anyone else in his life, for that matter. (What a letdown.)

Man. Sure sounds like Emily's a lucky gal for getting out when she did.

Do you think Jef is really trying to connect with Ashley?

Sounds really weird to me, but I'm sure that she has a great head on her shoulders.  She will do what's right.

Per Jef himself on Twitter: "Time to clear the air. Never met Ashley Tisdale. Not dating anyone. Not looking for a reality show. Focused on People Water & really happy!"

If Jef really wants to go after someone famous, maybe he should call up Lindsay Lohan and ask her for a date. Ashley Tisdale is a "nobody" compared to good old Lindsay.
