8 Resolutions the 'Real Housewives' Really Need to Make (But We Know They Won’t)

by Julie Ryan Evans on December 31, 2012 at 1:07 PM

Real Housewives of Beverly HillsOn the eve of 2013, it’s a time for reflection and reminiscing, and also to set a course for what we would like to do better in the next year. And Real Housewives are no exception.

Joanna Krupa of The Real Housewives of Miami recently revealed her resolutions to Celebuzz, and they're certainly understandable ones given the season that just went down. She told the site that she's aiming for “drinking a little less" and "not getting in as many verbal fights as I have in the last few months." Good for her, though not necessarily for viewers.

Here are a few other resolutions we wish the Housewives would make:

To lay off the glitter eye shadow and contouring makeup jobs come reunion time. It’s really so distracting.

To mind their finances. From the Giudices' big money problems in New Jersey to recent news that Miami's Alexia Echevarria and her husband owe the IRS nearly $100,000, these ladies have some pretty frequent financial issues.

To stop trying to invent drama. There’s plenty there without people (ahem, Kenya Moore) inventing boyfriends and trying to stage fake fights. We want to believe you're at least a little "real".

To just say no to spin-off shows. We saw what it did to Bethenny Frankel and we fear the same for Lisa Vanderpump with the upcoming Vanderpump Rules. Sure, more Housewives always sounds like a good idea, but they're just not as good alone as they are as one big motley group.

To lay off of the plastic surgery. Does anyone need any more reminder of where they're headed if they don't than Elsa Patton of Miami?

To focus more on their marriages than the drama. We've watched divorce after divorce on each and every city, and there aren't a whole lot of actual wives on the Housewives these days. You have to wonder -- which came first, the marital problems or the show?

To stop being so shy, stop holding back, and just say what’s really on their minds. Ha, just kidding – they need NO help in that department.

Oh, and if someone could flip a table or maybe a small chair, we haven't seen anything like that in awhile.

What New Year's resolutions would you like to see Real Housewives make?

If you were really good friends for as long as you claim, to quit spouting out the secrets publicly that you claimed to always keep. Real friends would not do this to one another no matter the fame or fortune.
