'Sister Wives' Recap: Kody Says Sex Is 'Unhealthy' ... Run Away, Logan! (VIDEO)

sister wivesHere's the deal: Is Meri the only Sister Wife who has any grasp on reality?! Not that she actually does have a grasp on reality, because, quite honestly, four beautiful homes per one "family" ain't exactly what I'd call "reality" in this day and staggering unemployment age, but anyway. As anyone who's ever read any of my Sister Wives recaps knows, I have plenty of issues with Kody Brown and what he considers to be "normal," but PUH-LEEZE. The fact that Kody & Co. felt justified in nickel-and-dime-ing Meri over her home furnishing choices because she "only" has one child is ... INSANE. Because, hello?!?! Kody still wants Meri to have another baby! And is another baby really any more affordable than sliding glass doors?!?!

Soooo, anyway. Tonight was a big deal because Logan, the "eldest child," is getting ready to go off to college (thankyoujesusyes!!!!!!). And Kody and Meri and Janelle and Christine and Robyn and ... I guess that's it? ... all had lots of emotion re: Logan's impending departure.

Particularly Kody, who seemed especially concerned about the possibility of Logan having -- gasp! -- sex outside of marriage. YIKES! (Honestly, he seemed more concerned about the possibility of having to get a buzzcut/reveal his receding hairline.) Ahem. Anyway, said Kody: "When you are sexually active outside of a marriage, it is unhealthy all the way around."

Polygamy, however, is healthy ALL THE WAY AROUND.

Lucky for Logan, his many, many parents sent him off to college with a quilt bearing each and every one of their images, so, sex outside of marriage? Good luck with that, Logan.

Do you think Logan will have a good experience at college?

I know kids are having sex, but Kody is right. Too many kids don't respect themselves anymore.

He's famous and he was raised in a fundamentalist religious family. Quilt or no quilt that makes him a target for a certain kind of girl looking for notches on her bedpost. If he wants to get laid I'm sure he won't have any difficulty.

Wow! How old are you? My 3 year old could've written a better article. And who are you to judge how they live? I agree with billsfan. Kids need to have more respect for themselves and others when it comes to sex. Even if it is consensual on both sides one party could get hurt with higher expectations, for example they may think if they have sex then the two will become a couple. Or if they give each other STDs. Just saying, everyone needs to stop and think for a minute about what they really want and be safe on all measures.

Ironic statement for Cody to make, when he's screwing 3 women OUTSIDE OF MARRIAGE -- and, in essence, is cheating on his one true wife.   Granted, it's with her permission -- but that still doesn't make it right.    Cody is nothing but an adolescent boy in a man's body who can't truly commit to one woman.    The polygamist lifestyle is assinine.   I cannot fathom the mindset of ANY woman who thinks it's okay.

I agree with DropZoneMom in that I cannot understand these people at all. The whole scenario is crazy. My husband is MINE! This poor kid is likely to have a hard time once people figure out who he is. Hopefully he realizes Dad is right.... I don't think you need to wait until marriage personally, but sex is a serious thing to start doing.

Wow. Seriously misleading headline.

Poor Logan and his celibacy quilt! Really, adorning a grown man's bed with pictures of his sisters' faces? Why not just put saltpeter in his toothpaste? Seriously, no parent (even us liberals) wants our teens to be sexually active but, good god, this is controlling and creepy. You had 18 years to mold him and if he's gonna do it, he's gonna do it. I don't think any of the wives seem happy since they moved, and the show's starting to feel very voyeuristic, particularly watching Kody and Meri's relationship unravel on air.

Kids are going to have sex no matter what parents say.

I think he will have some people want to be friends just because who he is.

I hope he does well in college.  He can also put the quilt away if/when he wants to "get lucky".  I am not one to say he should, but it could definitely happen.  It's just a quilt.
