OMG

Ian Somerhalder Proves He’s Christian Grey Material in Sexy New Trailer (VIDEO)

by Emily Abbate on December 26, 2012 at 11:11 AM

Ian SomerhalderIt's the Wednesday after Christmas, which means most of us are lagging a bit on our usual routines. Boy oh boy, do I have the ULTIMATE pick-me-up for you. There's no arguing that hottie McHotsuff Ian Somerhalder is one of the front-runners for the role of Christian Grey in the upcoming Fifty Shades of Grey movie, next to other hunky names like Robert Pattinson and Garrett Hedlund.

Well, over the holiday, Ian tweeted a trailer for a sequence of short films coming out in January called Time Framed, and let me tell you, it is unbelievably sexy. Rumor has it that these short films are him "channeling his inner bad boy" to show the world he can take on the Fifty Shades role. Whether or not that's true, they are steamy to say the least. How perfectly dashing. How sexy. How CHRISTIAN.

Seriously. Watch the Time Framed trailer here:

All the elements are there. Ian looks absolutely dashing wearing a perfectly tailored suit while standing next to a sexy brunette who I can't help but envision as his Anastasia (although we'd much rather see one of these 10 great actresses for the part). They show a helicopter and I immediately see visions of him sitting inside Charlie Tango. Then he steps out of a nice car similar to one of the bazillion Christian has at his disposal whenever he wants.

More from The Stir: Ian Somerhalder Should Tie Up Kristen Stewart in '50 Shades' Movie (Sorry Rob!)

All of it just screams, "SOMEONE, GIVE THIS GUY THE ROLE!" He's embodying everything we've come to love from the books. All of this anticipation is driving me nuts, and if you ask me, it'd be wrong to give the part to any other guy.

Could you see Ian playing Christian Grey?

Actually the point of these short films is to spread awareness about clean energy/environmentalism since that is extremely important to him.  In the films, he is a secret agent protecting a device that would provide the world with completely clean energy.  I think he is the perfect actor for these short films because of his passion for all things environment.  I have not read Fifty Shades, but I sure do love Ian and want to see him do great things!

No, not at all. The women were sexier than he was in this trailer...and I'm not gay.

No...I dont see Christian as a bushy eyed dark haired skinny guy. He doesn't look ANYTHING like what I pictured Christian as.

The only way I would go see 50 Shades Of Grey the movie is if Ian played Christian. He is by the far the most perfect actor for the part. He has it all, he looks the age, and he has that devilish grin that makes you just want to melt:)
