Ashton Kutcher Finally Files For Divorce From Demi Moore
Well, it took him long enough. A year after splitting with wife Demi Moore, Ashton Kutcher finally filed for divorce.
Now in a seemingly serious relationship with his That 70's Show costar Mila Kunis, he is ready to be legally free of his ex. He filed papers December 21 in L.A. Superior Court. The official reason: irreconcilable differences. It's unlikely Demi will disagree with that. According to the heartbroken Brat Packer, Ashton's actions have been unforgivable.
After six years of seemingly wedded bliss they separated after Ashton's seedy one-night stand with a 22-year-old party-girl around the time of their anniversary made headlines. Demi's stinging response: "As a woman, a mother and a wife there are certain values and vows that I hold sacred, and it is in this spirit that I have chosen to move forward with my life."
Problem is, some sources said she refused to move on. Demi has been reportedly holding up negotiations because she is hurt over his romance with Mila. Insiders told RadarOnline, "It's driving Ashton nuts as he just wants to close that chapter of his life and move on, he and Mila are VERY serious about each other and although another marriage isn't going to happen immediately it is definitely something both Ashton and Mila have discussed and believe is in their future."
According to TMZ, Ashton wanted to give Demi the chance to file first to give her ego a boost since he's the one who supposedly cheated. If that is the case, clearly he got tired of waiting.Well, this is certainly the first and most important step to making things work with Mila. And while Moore has had a difficult year -- she suffered a breakdown and entered rehab for several months -- TMZ also reports that she wants the divorce as much as he does. The divorce hold up had more to do with legitimate financial wrangling than anything else and friends says she is "genuinely happy" now.
Here's hoping they both get what they want for Christmas!
Do you think Demi is really ready to let Ashton go?
