When he announced that he's planning on taking some time off from acting for a bit, most of us assumed we could forget Channing Tatum playing Christian Grey in the Fifty Shades of Grey movie.
I, for one, was a bit disappointed with the news, because he's a major piece of eye candy and I'd have absolutely no problem staring at his chiseled muscles and rock-hard body thrusting all over Anastasia Steele for a good two hours or so. (Whew. Is it hot in here?)
But after hearing that he and wife Jenna Dewan-Tatum are expecting their first child, it's understandable that Channing would want to take a step back from acting for a bit. Although that doesn't necessarily mean he won't be a part of the Fifty Shades of Grey movie.
A list of possible Fifty Shades of Grey movie directors has emerged, and yes, Channing Tatum made the cut. OMG. Now that he's becoming a dad, it's the perfect time for him to give directing a try, don't you think? He'd probably have a lot more time with Jenna and the baby too.
He managed to snag the number four spot as far as favorite potential directors go, and here's how the entire list worked out. (In case you're curious as to who else is on it.)
- Angelina Jolie
- Mark Wahlberg
- Steven Soderbergh (Magic Mike)
- Channing Tatum
- Gary Marshall (Pretty Woman)
- Nick Cassavetes (The Notebook)
- Paul Greengrass (Bourne movies)
- Gary Ross (Hunger Games)
- Robert Luketic (Legally Blond)
- Catherine Hardwicke (Twilight)
- Jason Reitman (Juno)
Who do you think would make the perfect director for Fifty Shades of Grey?
