Kelly and Val

Listen up, Dancing With the Stars fans. Stop whatever you're doing immediately, because I just heard that Kelly Monaco and Val Chmerkovskiy reunited in New York City last weekend. (Yes. They. Did!)

And I was in the city last weekend too and didn't run into them. (Why am I never in exactly the right place at the right time?)

Kelly flew from Los Angeles to NYC last Thursday -- and guess who picked her up at the airport? Nope, not some fancy-schmancy chauffeur with a sign bearing her name. Yep, you guessed it -- Val was waiting there to meet her. (Ahhh!)

Ok, if this isn't evidence that Kelly and Val have definitely taken their relationship to a romantic level, then I really don't know what is. Sure, friends can visit each other and all that -- but they don't typically fly all the way across the country for a weekend visit unless they're desperate to see the other person.

And in a semi-patheric attempt to figure out the nature of their little rendezvous, of course, I headed straight over to Val's Twitter to see if I could find any clues. And while it was pretty easy to tell that Kelly and Val were in each other's company over the weekend, there really wasn't a clear indication of whether or not it was for business, pleasure, or a little bit of both. (Damn.)

It looks like they attended a gala at Dance With Me USA studios, and also a kids' recital at the Rising Stars of Dance -- so I guess there is the possibility that Kelly simply flew in because she'd committed to making those appearances. (Nah. That can't be the only reason.)

I think I speak for every single one of their fans when I say we hope there was a little more to their reunion than that -- because it's really such a shame if there isn't more going on between the two of them than they let on.

And this isn't the last time Kelly and Val will be on the east coast together, because they're going to be in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut in February doing events with Coastal Entertainment -- and it sounds like the public can even buy tickets to go and see them. (Hmm. Tempting.)

Do you think Kelly's trip was business, pleasure, or both?
