Well look who's here to upstage the Kardashian Kristmas kard. Here comes Honey Boo Boo's Christmas card! The whole Shannon family is smiling for the world -- and I love it. Say what you will about red-necksploitation. Lament the go-go juice and sketti. But I think I know the real reason why we're fascinated by this family: Because they look so familiar.
Come on, we all have relatives in our extended family (or closer?) who totally remind us of the Shannons. And in good ways, thank you very much. This looks like a Christmas card I could receive this year! Here's why else I love the Honey Boo Boo family portrait.
They're not all wearing matching outfits. There's a little bit of color coordination going on with the black t-shirts and peach tops, but that actually looks almost accidental. Anyway, they're wearing what suits them, and that's what's most important.
Shannon sisters' matching head tilt. Okay, their outfits may not match perfectly, but check out those two mirrored head tilts on the right! The family that cocks its heads together stays together.
A-MAZING backdrop. What is going on there, exactly? It's like a tie-dyed, unapologetically sentimental, soft-focus holiday snowflakes at twilight kind of scene.
Honey Boo Boo's neon green extensions. No further explanation needed.
Everyone is smiling, facing the camera, and has their eyes open. You know how hard it is to pull that off! No red eye, either.
They look genuinely happy. I don't know about you, but I've taken part in those family portraits where children were crying or pouting or pinching each other just seconds before the camera went click. A picture doesn't tell you everything, but the Shannons look like people who are actually having a good time in each other's company.
Cute baby front and center, FTW.
What do you think of the Honey Boo Boo family portrait?

Ok I do have to admit, it does look like a fairly decent, normal, happy family Christmas card photo to me.
I'm not charmed. But at least they don't look like crazed pagent people in the photo. :P
You forgot to mention Mama June's sweet be-feathered shirt! They do look happy. I like it.
A family that actually looks happy. Idk, they may not live their life as I choose to live mine, but they do some nice things, like donating Christmas gifts.
I am from the same place as honey boo boo and I am shocked that people are so amazed by the family..I am not saying that in a mean way either..One thing I can say is they act the same off tv or on..What you see is what you get no pretending ...Also honey boo boo can turn on the charm for the pagent and act like typical child otherwise..Just like in walmart she was crying over something the other day in walmart it did not matter that she was in public..a typical child..
