At this point, Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra are probably as famous for their long-term relationship as they are for starring on MTV's original cast of Teen Mom. Somehow, their very outspoken love for one another has never gotten old or corny, and that's why we think they're adorable. Take Tyler's response to a fan's recent question on Twitter. When asked what he loves most about his future wife, he replied, "Her strength as a woman who owns her personality & her capacity to love & care for others." And in 5, 4, 3, 2 ... collective "Aaaawww!"
Well, Tyler certainly has a way of being way over-the-top romantic and eloquent. (In a way that evades many men, so consider yourself lucky, Cate!) He's also never been one to hold back from saying how he feels about Catelynn or doing it in a very public way. Not that the latter is necessary at all, but the former has to be one key to keeping their love alive.
After all, occasionally showering your partner in praise is integral to keeping the sparks flying. Of course it's always important, no matter how long you've been together, but I almost feel like it counts for even more when you've been together for many years.
Maybe that's because it's, unfortunately, way too easy after 2, 5, 10+ years as a pair to forget to show gratitude for your honey. To forget to say "thank you," remember what brought you together and to vocalize that.

It can even be in small ways, very private ways -- not necessarily in the grandiose way Tyler does it via Twitter, on TV, and in front of the whole world. But it just needs to be. Because reminding ourselves and our S.O. why we adore and admire them really does wonders for a relationship. More than any flowers, candy, or any holiday gift ever could.
Do you agree that heaping praise on your partner (or having it heaped on you) helps to bolster your bond?
