Ellen DeGeneres Holiday Ad 'Offends' Most Offensive Moms on the Planet (VIDEO)

Rant 52

ellen degeneres jcp commercialI'm starting to think that the moms of "One Million Moms" aren't actually moms at all. Because if they were moms, they would be way too busy to spend all their time whining and complaining about Ellen DeGeneres being JCPenney's spokesperson. That's right, the "moms" are at it again, bashing one of the kindest celebrities ever born (seriously, even Bill O'Reilly of Fox News defended DeGeneres the last time this happened), over an "offensive" Christmas-themed Penney's commercial featuring DeGeneres and a few elves in a diner.

You're probably wondering what could possibly be offensive about such a commercial -- does it turn into some kind of kinky fetish porno?! Not quite. Here's what OMM had to say (in their own grammatically clumsy way).

On their website, OMM posted the following message (it's since been taken down):

Since April, JC Penney's has not aired Ellen DeGeneres in one of their commercials until now. A new JCP ad features Ellen and three elves. JCP has made their choice to offend a huge majority of their customers again. Christians must now vote with their wallets. We have contacted JC Penney's several times in the past with our concerns, and they will not listen. They have decided to ignore our complaints so we will avoid them at all costs.

Wait, so it's offensive because ... oh, silly me! Because Ellen is gay. And OMM are all about protecting what they call "traditional" family values. And how are they supposed to shop for polyester pants with elastic waistbands when that ... that ... lesbian's face is everywhere they turn?! (Because what if the naughty thoughts came back? What would people say?! Oh, that Shirley. Such a nice gal until she caught "the gay" shopping for a pair of slacks at Penney's.)

Interestingly enough, OMM appears to be backpedaling on this one a little bit. They did remove the above blurb from their site, after all. Perhaps they feel like One Million Morons for slamming a fricken' Christmas commercial?! "We're not taking action, we're moving on," explained a spokesperson. Good, keep on moving and don't stop until you're One Million Miles away! Check out the "offensive" ad here.

Do you think "One Million Moms" should shut up about Ellen DeGeneres?
