When a gift like this is bestowed upon us, it makes me feel like there's something right with the world, that someone upstairs gets us, has a sense of humor, and wants to make us happy. I don't know whether to thank god almighty or the execs at Fox, but whoever is responsible for Stars in Danger: The High Dive needs to be praised. This genius reality show will star celebs like Jersey Shore's JWoww and Real Housewives Kyle and Kim Richards in a competition to learn how to dive like in Olympian. From solo high dives to synchronized ones, we'll see our favorite C-list personalities jump from three stories up and smack their asses on the water below.
See what I mean when I say that someone upstairs gets us?
The other participating celebs are professional surfer Bethany Hamilton, Baywatch alumna Alexandra Paul, Real Housewives Kim and Kyle Richards, Jersey Shore star JWoww, Baywatch alum David Chokachi, former NFLer Terrell Owens, and actor/model Antonio Sabato Jr.
Told you it was C-listers.
Anyway, I cannot wait to see how this goes down, and I have some predictions. No offense to Kyle, but she'll suck. She admitted on her show that she's afraid of everything, so yeah, I doubt she'll be able to pull off doing flips and whatnot off a 33-foot platform. And her sister Kim, well, she just seems so meek and weak; hard to picture her going far in this competition. She'll probably just blame the pool for calling her a drug addict and a drunk, then quit the show.
It wouldn't surprise me if JWoww did well -- she seems pretty fearless. And the other five stars, well, they got a leg up, seeing as they're either water-logged actors or actual athletes.
Let the belly-flopping begin!
Stars in Danger: The High Dive premieres January 9 on Fox.
