LeAnn Rimes' Disrespectful Tweet About Stepsons Reignites Brandi Glanville Feud

by Nicole Fabian-Weber on December 3, 2012 at 3:05 PM

brandi glanville leann rimesWhen I first heard about how LeAnn Rimes stole Eddie Cibrian from Brandi Glanville, I kind of hated LeAnn. But then when I saw Brandi on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, I kind of hated Brandi. But then as time went on, and I got to know Brandi a little bit better -- and after LeAnn sent the world's most obnoxious tweet -- I'm over LeAnn. For good.

Before spending the weekend with her husband and two stepsons -- Brandi's biological children -- LeAnn insensitively recently fired off the tweet: "Flying out with my boys in a few hrs. Love that it's a family tour weekend. It's always more fun when they are with me."

Dude. That's some balls right there. "My boys." Oof.

Of course, once Brandi got wind of the tweet, she fired back, resulting in an all-out twitter war, and reigniting their dormant feud.

Oh, 2012. How proud our Founding Fathers would be of you.

Quickly after LeAnn's tweet, Brandi wrote: "Someone is trying 2 get under my skin by calling MY children "her boys" Sooo transparent! They R MY boys, Eddie Boys and ur step-sons... 4 now." LeAnn didn't directly retaliate to Brandi, but she did continue to post photos and tweet tweets about her awesome family-filled weekend. And she did retweet the following message: "Being a step mom is such a hard role to play....but only the strongest women can handle it!" Wow.

LeAnn -- take it down a notch. I don't think Brandi Glanville is the classiest woman in the world, but cut the lady some slack. You already took her husband -- isn't that enough? Is is really necessary to send out a tweet referring to her kids as "my boys"? I certainly don't think you would like that if you were in her position. Try to show a little respect, for crying out loud. I mean, damn, talk about a low blow.

Do you think LeAnn was in the wrong?

I agree that she shouldn't have called them "my boys" but honestly Brandi should be glad/grateful that Leann loves them.... many Step-Parents don't....

Honestly, this doesn't bother me at all. This is a blended family now. She is married to the boys' dad. Because of the bad blood, I can see with their mom is upset....but life moves on. Be mature for the kids sake.

LeAnn needs to show some perspective & try to put herself in Brandi's shoes. I'm no fan of either of these two. But having been in Brandi's situation I feel her pain. Maybe LeAnn could have worded her tweet in a less harmful manner....

Obviously you are not a step parent, have never been a step parent, or have never had a step parent. NO she was not wrong. If she tweeted it just to piss off the mom, then yeah that's petty. But the mother ought to be happy that another woman is accepting of her children, loving them, & doing things with them. I have 2 step parents & am a step parent myself. It's hard but the biological mom needs to step it down a notch & be grateful they don't have an evil woman in their life

I wonder how much of their "fued" is all just media hyped up bologna. I think what she tweeted is great. As a step mom of two little kids she could see them as inconvenient baggage. She could be unloving, unkind, and make those two boys feel like visitors in their dads home. Instead she is embracing them, taking them into her heart and including them as part of her family. To call them "my boys" doesn't make them not Brandi's sons, it makes her a loving mom, albeit a non biological one.

I'd be offended if LeeAnn went out of her way to distinguish between her stepchildren and her biological children. Those boys are an important part of her life and Brandish should quit being huffy and start being a little more mature.

Although, I usually dont take the side of a stepmother, because of my daughters stepmother, I think Brandi was out of line here.
