Hugh Hefner Engaged Again & This Time It Just Might Work Out

by Julie Ryan Evans on December 2, 2012 at 1:33 PM

Cyrstal HarrisIt was just about this time two years ago that Hugh Hefner and Crystal Harris announced their engagement. And now, here they are doing it AGAIN.

If you haven't followed their romantic roller coaster, here it is in a nutshell: They got engaged in December 2010, then five days before their wedding in June 2011, Harris did a Runaway Bride and ditched poor Hef. Then they both said a bunch of nasty, nasty things about each other (like her saying he lasted "like two seconds") that clearly weren't deal breakers because before we knew it, they were back together again in their hot-and-steamy love affair. Or as hot and steamy as a love affair can be when one of the participants is 86. Crystal, by the way, is 26.

Now they're engaged yet again, and, according to TMZ, planning another wedding -- this time on New Year's Eve at, where else but, the Playboy Mansion.

So I'm sure there are plenty of eyes rolling at this news, and inevitable suspicions of gold digging and publicity whoring that come to mind. I, however, am actually feeling pretty optimistic about their staying power this time. I think this could be Hugh's happily ever after ... and Crystal's happily for now.

Apparently they worked out all of those problems they had and are now happier than ever. Sources say Harris thinks  their time apart made her more independent and helped her mature (or realize how much she liked his money?). On Friday she sent out a Tweet that read, “Dear past, thank you for all the lessons. Dear future, I’m ready.” So there's that.

Also, I don't think Harris would dare ditch Hugh at the altar again. Once is one thing, but twice would just make her look ridiculous (and obvious), and I'm sure she knows that.

Probably the biggest and most obvious reason I'd bet on their happily ever after though is -- how much time does Hef really have left? The chances of them making it until death do them part are much better than most considering his age. And I'm sure she knows that too.

Do you think Hugh Hefner and Crystal Harris will make it down the aisle this time? How long do you think they'll last?

The people who care are the ones who read this article & took the time to comment. Oh wait....looks like we all did that. Anyways, saying they will last a long time isnt really saying too much when hes 86 :/ but i think they will last till she can get her money & run. I wish them happiness though.

I think poor Hef is being used and taken advantage of but hey he made his bed and now he's got to lay in it. He's spent years going through women but hell leave behind a legacy and I'm sure he's wanting to leave part of it with a woman, which is why he's tried quite a few times to get Married.

Crystal realized the spotlight left her when she left Hef; savvy girl, getting back in.

Why would you marry a woman when you KNOW she only wants you for your money????He should marry someone closer to his age...Hef is a pig and his girlfriend is a goldingging bimbo.
