We're slowly learning things about Jenelle Evans and her new fiance Courtland Rogers. We know that the couple shares a liking for tattoos, that he loves her son Jace, and now -- a few intimate details on their relationship. Evans told the entire world of Facebook that her fiance Courtland makes her "all hot and bothered," and that she loves how he stares at her booty.
Listen, Nelle (can I call you Nelle?). I'm happy for you and your man, I really am. I actually think you guys look cute together. With that said, though, the entire world doesn't need to know intimate details of your relationship. In fact, I think posting stuff like that for the whole world to see may end up hurting you. Let's chat, shall we?
Most people aren't hoping to sign on to Facebook and read about their friends' sex lives. When you do, though, it opens up a whole world of questions. Why is this person posting these kinds of things in such a public forum? Are they looking for feedback or just trying to brag? Does their significant other have any idea what they're doing?
One thing is for sure: Writing about your relationship publicly certainly opens you up for criticism, some of which can be very unwanted. It takes away the intimacy of the things that the two people share behind closed doors, and if even your most private moments are public, then what's left?
Sure, what Jenelle put out there isn't exactly sexy overkill. But if this is a gateway for more details, it may cause tension between her and Courtland. In today's crazy world of social media addictions, talking to one another about what makes you uncomfortable is key. Something tells me, though, that he's probably pretty unfazed by the whole thing.
Do you think Jenelle is posting TMI on Facebook?
