Lindsay Lohan's reviews for her portrayal of Elizabeth Taylor in Lifetime's Liz & Dick may be devastatingly horrendous, but at least she's got one thing goin' for her right now: Her friendship with Charlie Sheen! And the fact that Mr. Tiger Blood himself just wrote her a check for a cool $100K to help her cover her tax debt, TMZ is reporting.
I KNOW. What?!! A.) Since when are these two hanging out?, B.) Is it really a good idea for these two to hang out?, and C.) Geeze, leave it to LiLo to make Charlie Sheen -- of all people! -- look like a hero! Ha. Well, if you think about it, it does sort of make sense that these two should meet, hit it off, and then do what they can to help one another out with their respectively screwed-up lives, right?
After all, they've both been in the spotlight since they were young ... both seem to be trying to make comebacks ... and are both walking, chronic disasters we can't seem to take our eyes off of! Anyway, the story goes that they first bonded in September while co-starring in Scary Movie 5 (how the mighty have fallen ...!). They spent lot of time on and off-screen together, and LiLo confessed her ongoing tax problems to Charlie. (She allegedly owed the IRS $233,904 in unpaid taxes for 2009 and 2010.)
At the time, he reportedly offered to cut her a check to help her get the IRS to back off. Apparently, LiLo refused. Huh! Say what you will about her, but at least she's still got her pride in tact? (Maybe too much actually ... Crazy girl thought she could get away with playing Elizabeth Taylor! Pffft!)
But last week, according to sources close to Lindsay, the actress's business manager received a check from Charlie for $100K. Lindsay was allegedly "blown away by Charlie's generosity -- and immediately applied the money to her outstanding tax bill." So now, she only owes about half of what she did before to Uncle Sam -- nice.
Wow, you gotta hand it to Charlie for being so generous. He definitely has taken his level of crazy down a few notches as of late. (Then again, from where he was back in early 2011, any small step reflective of lucidity and sanity is an improvement.) And LiLo also deserves credit for attempting to work, trying to fix her tax problems, etc.
But man oh man -- hearing that LiLo's gotta get bailed out by Charlie Sheen says so, so much! Looks like on their own, they may be total trainwrecks, but together? They're "duh, winning!"

Do you think Charlie Sheen could actually help LiLo straighten out her life?
