Halle Berry's Ex Gabriel Aubry Arrested After Nasty Fight at Her Home

by Mary Fischer on November 23, 2012 at 9:40 AM

Gabriel AubryWell, it sounds like Thanksgiving was anything but relaxing for Halle Berry, considering her ex, Gabriel Aubry, was arrested at her home after getting into a major brawl with her new honey, Olivier Martinez.

According to TMZ, Gabriel showed up at Halle's place to drop off their daughter, Nahla, (sounds simple enough) and sometime between him handing her off to Halle and leaving the premises, Olivier Martinez looked at him and said, "We have to move on."

And apparently Gabriel wasn't too thrilled with his comment, because witnesses say he pushed Olivier and tried to punch him in the face, but wound up hitting him in the shoulder because he was able to block the punch.

After that, Gabriel pushed Olivier again and he fell to the ground, and at that point, Martinez decided enough was enough and punched Aubry in the face, and they continued to fight from there.

Both men were sent to the hospital, and supposedly Olivier may have hurt his neck and possibly broken his hand -- and Gabriel has a broken rib, among other injuries.

Long story short -- Gabriel was arrested and booked for misdemeanor battery, and his bail was set at $20,000. And it appears as though somebody paid up, because around 6:30 p.m. yesterday evening, he was released from jail.

Ok, so the first thing that ran through my head when I heard about what went down was that I hoped that poor little Nahla didn't witness her daddy and her soon-to-be step-daddy beating the crap out of each other. And thankfully, sources told TMZ that as soon as they started arguing, Halle rushed Nahla inside so she wouldn't see anything. (Whew. Smart mama.)

But sadly, because Gabriel couldn't control his temper, it looks like his days of sharing custody of Nahla with Halle may wind up being a thing of the past (at least for the time being), because a judge reportedly issued a protective order prohibiting him of coming within 100 yards of Nahla, Halle, or Olivier.

Man -- I can't even imagine how Halle must be feeling today. Co-parenting is tough enough as it is without throwing anger, resentment, and full blown rage into the mix.

But if the report is accurate, it sounds like she's found herself a gem-of-a-dude in Olivier -- because it appears as though he only started throwing punches when it became clear that he had to defend himself. (Self-control is so hot.)

What do you think made Gabriel snap like that?

I usually don't comment on "celebrity" type articles but I smell something rotten.  So after a judge decided Halle couldn't take the child out of the country, Audrey gets in a fist fight because he couldn't control his temper?  There is more to this story and I betting Halle within the next month will try to strip him of custody so she can move to France.  The only witnesses are friends of Halle and Oliver so of course they are going to blame Audrey.  Why wasn't Oliver arrested also?

Martinez actually pinned Aubry to the ground and made a citizens arrest, according to the original news source. Martinez was not arrested bc it was self defense, and Aubry started throwing punches on Halle's property. Audrey has been known to have anger problems in the past, guy is a douche bag. Halle actually told the judge in the past that she was fearful

(Con) of Aubry. Nahla actually told Family Services earlier in the year that she was scared of her dad, that he "screamed a lot". He was also accused of pushing the nanny while she was holding Nahla. Maybe Halle is justified in wanting to take her daughter to France and away from this jerk.

Obviously Aubry isn't the nicest guy, but I have a feeling there is more to this than is being said. Halle and Olivier are trying to take his kid away from him and not blaming Halle, she is Hollywood's 'Golden Girl' but really what is she like behind closed doors? She could be a manipulative b*tch. Everyone always takes the Mother's side in custody battles but we really need both sides before we can judge. I think there is a lot more to this than meets the eye!

I'm sorry but the witnesses there were obviously friends and family of Halle and Olivier. I simply don't believe everything that is being reported so far. Also, if someone actually tried to take my child away from me by moving her to another country, it would be very easy for me to lose my temper with those idiots.

Halle Berry has quite obviously engaged in a campaign to have Gabriel Aubry removed her life. She wants to move on with Nahla and her new man as if Aubry never existed. This behavior by Berry is beyond despicable, but it does not excuse Aubry engaging in a physical confrontation with Martinez.

Halle made him snap like that!!! It takes two to bust up a marriage, Halle is no perfect little lady.  She's had a tragic history with her past  partners. It seem Martinez pushed Gabrie's buttons here....  At the end the only one affected is Nahla because her parents can't act like grown ups.

Only people who grew up in the projects will understand what is going on. She wanted to move to France so he would have no visitation rights. She lost. Next move straight out of hood rat handbook. Wait until he drops off the daughter so that he has no witnesses and she has all of the witnesses. Then start fight and get restraining order. Next step hood rat page 2 say that he broke restraining order get him arrested again so that he faces 3 years in prison. I thought she had more class than this. And she did it on a holiday so no witnesses on the street. Why pick a fight when he drops off the kid? This reeks of project hood rat.

Martinez should not have been involved WHATSOEVER in any type of exchange of the child between Aubrey and Berry. Not his place --- who knows what the real story is, but BOTH men are known hotheads (Martinez is a former boxer, so I'm sure he got his licks in). This is an ugly story between two parents who can't agree on the custody of the child, and Berry's fiance needs to stay out of that fight for now. I'm sure the "witnesses" didn't hear exactly what was aid, but I highly doubt it was a pleasant and cordial "let's move on". At any rate, sad for the child. And be mindful that MOST of what you read in the press is orchestrated by public affairs people, and I'm sure Berry's group is pretty highly paid. Take that for what it's worth.
