It's official: Teen Mom star Jenelle Evans is officially engaged to her boyfriend of two months, Courtland Rogers. The 20-year-old teased her fans last night on Twitter that she had a big announcement to make on her MTV's USTREAM channel, and then came out with it sitting alongside her hubby-to-be, showing off her new engagement ring.
This is the second engagement for Jenelle, and while yes I'm happy for the girl, I can't help but point out the big "WTF" in this whole situation. Evans confessed to fans that there's a "huge reason" why she and Courtland are getting married so fast, and denied that it was because they were pregnant.
So, um, if there's really no baby ... then what's the rush?
I hate to think of the worst, but it's natural. The only other reason I've ever heard for a couple to rush into marriage is if a close family member is ill. I don't know all that much about Jenelle's or her fiance's personal lives, but I pray that isn't the case here. To be real, I don't 100 percent believe she's without child, but I guess only time will tell.
Despite all this, I'm happy for the two lovebirds. The Teen Mom star tweeted the other night that their engagement is "like a fantasy coming true." I'm the most interested to see what sort of dress she'll wear and if she'll cover up all those tattoos for her big day. And of course -- I'm praying that MTV gets a camera or two into the nuptials.
