'Game of Thrones' Season 3 Teaser Tells Us ALL We Need to Know! (VIDEO)
Holy crap, you guys. HBO has just put together the most awesome 15 seconds ever to tease Game of Thrones season 3. It sucks we have to wait until March 31, 2013 for the premiere, but as long as HBO keeps us excited by releasing stuff like this, no matter how irritatingly short, hopefully it'll be well worth the wait. It better be! Winter is coming!
Okay, so it's unfortunate in the sense that the teaser actually gives absolutely nothing away, but what did you expect? It's still enough to geek out about, even though it's just some narration and graphics. Womp womp.
But luckily for you, there are no spoilers ahead ... because HBO designed it that way, it seems. So, no fear, if you watch the teaser, nothing will be revealed (by producers or by me) if you click about the crazy, nausea-inducing plots we can look forward to for next season.
Here it is!
To break it down, some disembodied female voice says, "The great war is between death and life, ice and fire." Then three swords (the third book is called Storm of Swords, after all), as they impale the GoT logo, transforms into the premiere date, which is way too far away for fans. She continues: "If we lose, the night will never end."
Shit just got real. She has to be talking about the upcoming potential war with the White Walkers, right? Or think it could be something else? And an FYI, if you click on over to the direct YouTube link, be careful not to read the spoiler-y comments!
But the big question remains: Whose voice is it? Most outlets have said it isn't Melisandre or the other female leads and are leaning toward Selyse Baratheon (Stannis Baratheon's wife) or Quaithe, the weird masked woman from the Shadow Lands. We may never find out -- but still, psyched for season 3! Kudos to you, HBO. Keep the teasers coming!
Who do you think is speaking? Are you psyched for Game of Thrones season 3?
