It's a weird feeling when the guy you had a crush on in middle school suddenly resurfaces wearing a mini-skirt and a cropped fur coat. Jared Leto, the 40-year-old rocker-actor who first stole my heart as Jordan Catalano on the cult-classic My So-Called Life, will star in the upcoming movie, The Dallas Buyer's Club, in drag. The flick's based on the true story of Texas businessman Ron Woodroof's fight to make AIDS and HIV drugs available in the states, and Matthew McConaughey, who plays Ron, has already lost an estimated 30 pounds to portray the man suffering with AIDS.
It sounds like a really interesting movie, but all that aside, I think we need to talk about the fact that Jared Leto, an extremely handsome man, makes one horribly hideous woman.
I mean, yikes, right? You'd think someone with his cheekbones would be able to pull off the feminine mystique, but wow, I wouldn't touch Miss Leto with a 10-foot pole. I would, however, ask to borrow her outfit. Ripped purple tights and a blonde fur jacket? Fierce.
Back in September, Jared was seen rocking a full, manly beard just as summer was winding down. Perhaps fully aware that in just a few months he'd have to dress like a lady, he decided to man it up for as long as he could before filming started.
That said, Jared isn't entirely unfamiliar with the lady look -- he likes himself some eyeliner, especially when touring or promoting with his band, 30 Seconds to Mars.
Let's hope the skirt's a one-time thing, though.
How do you think Jared Leto looks as a lady?
