Robert Pattinson Wants Edward to Admit He's Gay in 'Twilight' Sequel (VIDEO)

Robert Pattinson

Man. Who knew Robert Pattinson had such a great sense of humor? It seems like with every interview he does for the Breaking Dawn Part 2 promotional tour, he gets even funnier -- to the point that he could probably consider a second career in stand-up comedy.

Rob appeared on Ellen with co-star Taylor Lautner, and he admitted to her that he'd consider doing a sixth Twilight film -- but only if two conditions are met.

First, he wants some sort of Avengers-style alien invasion, and he also thinks Edward Cullen should go ahead and come out of the closet as far as being gay goes.

Take a look at this video clip from the show to hear more about the changes he'd like to see happening in Edward's "life."

Ok, so I know he was kidding and all, but doesn't the idea of Bella and Edward having a Will and Grace relationship sound kind of endearing and adorable? And if they're going to make Edward gay in the next movie but still have him shack up with Bella to raise Renesmee, they ought to think about throwing Taylor Lautner into the mix to make things really interesting.

Wouldn't it be a dramatic turn of events if Edward were the one to switch to "Team Jacob"?

(Bella would be SO pissed.)

What do you think of Rob's awesome sense of humor?

Nooooooooooo........ I would not want to see Edward go gay or even watch Twilight if it was an alien kind of movie that is stupid...... I love Twilight the way it is, even if they were to make more movies there would definitely be more to the story, I hope they make more movies that would be sooooo great.... I love Edward and bella.......

honestly i'm glad the twilight movies are done i've read all the books loved the books but the movies just missed out on so much that they weren't that enjoyable i really can't stand kristen stewart as bella she is NOT what i pictured from the books and she alone really makes me not like the movies

Why is making jokes about someone being gay funny? I thought most people outgrew that in junior high.

It would dilute how powerful the storyline was so I disagree on Edward being gay

Even if it did come to pass that Edward did admit he were gay it would only follow that he admit a crush on a certain member of "The Wolf Pack" and I'm not at all sure Taylor Lautner as himself or Jacob Black would cocede to being Edward's "Beastie Boy"

Where do people come up with these silly ideas! How do you justify an uber-alpha vamp who is totally in love with a human female being gay? Okay, so the series is geared toward adolescents, but - really? Even they wouldn't go for that one!

I ENJOYED THE TWILIGHT MOVIES. STILL DO EDWARD CULLEN AND BELLA SWAN WERE THE PERFECT COUPLE. AS ARE KRISTEN STEWART AND ROBERT PATTINSON. THEY MADE THE STORY EASY TO BELIEVE. WITHOUT THE TWO OF THEM IN THE LEADING ROLES I WOULD NOT HAVE LIKED TWILIGHT.

My husband Joe thought it would be funny if in the Twilight episode where they were protecting Bella from the other vampires on the mountain top that Jacob and Edward just threw the silly twit (Bella) off the cliff and had a Broke Back Mountain moment. lol The girl cannot act her way out of a wet paper sack even if it were torn.

I do not see any sense of humor at all in this. Of course Ellen thinks everything is funny. It is sad that televison has come to this and to call it humor. No wonder so many young adults act so childish. People like Ellen, and Rob have no respect for others. It is all about money and rating. So we have to put up with this trash. And trash is all this is. That is why I don't watch Ellen.
