Another day, another rumor about Khloe Kardashian, Lamar Odom, and their marriage. InTouch is reporting that Khloe wants to head for couples therapy, and if Lamar doesn't say OK, they're going to get a divorce. No! I refuse to believe this. They look so happy and genuinely in love on Khloe & Lamar, this has gotta be just hype, right?
OK, so I'm clearly skeptical that the reports are true; however, if things are rough for Khloe, I wouldn't blame her for wanting to go talk to someone with her hubby. Whether it's been three months or three years -- wanting to try and fix it with the help of someone else shows how much you care.
It happens. Couples hit a few bumps in the road, and suddenly, it's as if the whole world has been thrown off-course. When you try to talk everything out, you may "fix" things temporarily, but eventually, many of the same insecurities come back to haunt you.
Going to that third party like a couples therapist and getting that outside opinion can make all of the difference. The person is unbiased and will most likely have a better grip on why things are happening the way they are. Not exactly easy when emotions are high and you're in the thick of conflict. Yeah, it may be pricey, but if you really love that person -- can you put a price on happiness?
Sometimes, though, you may not need to splurge for a certified couples therapist. Maybe talking to a mutual friend together could shed some light on some of your biggest issues. Just be careful, though, because that person definitely has their own ideas on your situation. Khloe, if this whole thing is true -- I'd advise against going to talk to Kim with Lamar, OK?
Have you ever tried couples therapy? Was it helpful?
