'Bachelorette' Ashley Hebert & Fiance J.P. Rosenbaum Set a Bad Example

by Ericka Sóuter on November 7, 2012 at 8:00 PM

jp and ashleyHeartsick over all the Bachelor and Bachelorette relationships that have gone bust? No need to totally despair. The bloom isn't off the rose for one couple. Ashley Hebert and fiance J.P. Rosenbaum are still going strong.

The pair, who fell for each other in season 7 of the Bachelorette, are in it for the long haul. It's shocking I know.  Many of you don't buy that these romances are for real. Well, this one is and we have the proof.

Ashley and J.P. are set to wed in one month and sources tell Us Weekly they just picked out their wedding bands at Neil Lane in L.A. "They walked in holding hands and smiling," a witness told the magazine. "Ashley stood with her arms resting over his shoulders. And he gave her a tender kiss." No details on what the bands look like, but I am sure whatever the design, Ashley's will go nicely with the 3.5-carat, cushion-cut diamond he slipped on her finger in Fiji during the May 2011 finale.

The big day will be filmed for an ABC wedding special, of course. They will soon join that small minority of show alums (Trista Rehn and Ryan Sutter and Jason Mesnick and Molly Malaney) who actually made it down the aisle. Just one problem:  they make the fairytale look possible, even though for most people being on the show is a total disaster. You end up looking evil, conniving, crazy or like the biggest a$$hole to ever walk the earth.

Still, I have no doubt countless other men and women will desperately try to follow in their footsteps. Hundreds will join the fray for many seasons to come only to leave semi-famous and brokenhearted. We fans, of course, will delight in the tears, backstabbing, and Fantasy Suite hijinks, but truth of the matter is, it's not about love. Though I have to admit, three solid matches after 25 combined seasons ain't so bad. It's not like the odds are that much better in the real world!

Are you surprised Ashley and J.P. have lasted?

I`m not surprised at all. They were meant to be, and make such a beautiful couple. They both smile, laugh & seem to love life & stay out of all the drama that follows The Bachalorette. Can`t wait to see them united in love, have a family & make memories together. Still waiting for my invite to their wedding LOL .They need a Reality Tv show,so we can watch a honest healthy show, but I think they are happy with their healthy, private life. Love you Ashley & JP
