OMG!!! Out of all the cheap and lousy ways to stick it to the woman who was still your fiance as early as two weeks ago -- Jef Holm's latest jab at Emily Maynard takes the cake for being mean and totally uncalled for.
If the rumors about him calling her a bad mom weren't bad enough -- calling her out and making fun of her for her love of animals definitely kicked things up a notch.
You know those annoying e-cards that people incessantly post on Facebook? (Yes, some of them are funny, but ENOUGH already.) Well, Jef posted one with the following "joke," which was no doubt aimed at Emily.
It says:
"Your obsession with cats is out of control and I can't handle it anymore!"
"So you're kicking meeeowt?"
Um -- what the heck? How in the world did Jef go from being a sweet-natured dude who bought Ricki a puppet to a total jerk who can't resist kicking Emily while she's down by bringing up something about her that obviously got on his last nerve?
When Jef and Emily initially split, he issued the following seemingly heartfelt statement about their breakup:
What we shared was completely genuine and real and it breaks my heart but we have decided to break up. Emily and I are great friends and I hope we can continue to be friends forever. Everyone wants a salacious story to break, but the truth is we are just two people who fell in love and tried our hardest to make it work. I will always love her.
Ok, so does he not realize that by posting that mean-spirited e-card, he basically just discredited every single kind word he said about Emily after their split?
It's totally understandable that despite painting an amicable picture, there's still some bad blood between Jef and Emily. But if the love they shared was at all real for any part of their relationship, then Jef should've just left it alone and refrained from throwing any unnecessary insults Emily's way -- even if posting that e-card was a spur-of-the-moment thing.
Whether he's figured it out yet or not -- he just made himself the bad guy in their breakup. And I guess now Emily can officially reclaim her status as America's sweetheart.
Do you think what Jef did was mean, or was it all in good fun?

Emily is not America's sweetheart. She is out for fame. I am Team Jef on this one. Jef uprooted his life and moved to Charlotte for Her & Rikki. What does she do? Cheats on him with another guy. Emily is me me me! Jef is a sweetheart. Emily is something else.
This is total BS...Jef did NOT make himself out to be the bad guy. Probably wasn't appropriate, but we ALL do things in pain. Leave them both alone and let them do what they need to do.
Get a sense of humor... this article is ridiculous!
Geez...he probably just thought it was funny. Lighten up!
Oh, for crying out loud. That is tame. I have the thinnest skin of anyone anywhere, and that wouldn't hurt my feelings.
